This has some Choppers - well, a near Croc like jaw spread :

But, it's Not a Dog either......

Just one of the many species that have been 'offed' in OZ since colonization. Though, they'd been 'offed' by the Indigenous peoples of New Guinea and Mainland Australia, already - so it was not just a European killing spree. Disease, and it's thought, competition with Dingoes brought in, had devastated their population(s) even before 'we' Euros turned up. Humans of all sorts, hammer the wildlife, everywhere. I'd like to think they somehow may still be out there in the impenetrable Tassie wilderness, but a fair few people have ruined their lives in trying to find them, and, of course, we've the never ending Jurassic Park inspired idea of bringing them back.......

Saw a show the other day were they have a hide of one from 1890 in a museum air conditioned vault never on show. The actual colours are amazing. Then they opened a safe and pulled out a full pup in ethanol filled jar for preservation. It was surreal the detail. Such a shame on humanity.
