Cross-country honeymoon moto road trip

Edited Date/Time 10/20/2022 6:09pm
My wife and I are leaving PA tomorrow morning heading west across the country in the motovan after tying the knot this past weekend. Definitely taking the bike with! We’re looking for suggestions moto/nonmoto related for things to do

Went to redbud/Michigan for the first time this summer and we went to Indiana dunes state park to see Lake Michigan and it was a great time. Don't know how fun it would be in the cold though.

Something often over looked.

Ride a ferry across the Mississippi river.

Did it years ago traveling home from Iowa to NC and swinging by LL's to watch some friends race.

After we crossed we parked our truck and rode back and forth 2 more times at no charge.

Crazy watching the barges push up current.

It is easy to take the power and the size of that river for granted crossing it on a bridge,

You cannot miss Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon in southern UT. You could hit that on your way back home through Vegas and stay in Hurricane, NV about 90 minutes from Zion with inexpensive lodging then drive to Zion and park then access the buses. 17 stops with buses stopping regularly. Bryce you want to stay close to and start first thing and do the Queens walk (not the right name but close enough) for some mind blowing scenery

Congratulations and hope you have a great trip!

If you’re heading west and in Iowa check out Okoboji. It’s a super cool area (more so in the summer). It’s worth the stop and a night. Hit me up and we’ll ride. There are some tracks close by.

Zion is ok, little crowed. Bryce Canyon off the chart.

Thanks for the Bryce Canyon photos......out of this world. Those are suitable for framing. Looks like professional photography. Good work!

BTW when we were at Zion during August the crowds weren't fine at all. And with 17 stops to check out that helps too.

Trust me when I say this but under no circumstances should you have a moto honeymoon. You may not regret it now, next year or even in 5 years but someday it will be used in an argument of how much she gives up for you and it will be used until the end of time. Basically, she is setting a mouse trap for you even if she isn't intending to, you need to realize why the cheese is free.
