Spokane, Wash. (August 11, 2009) – MotoConcepts Racing (MCRMX) is excited to announce the signing of 450 rider Matt Goerke to their 2010 Supercross/Motocross team.

“We are very excited to have Matt join our program and have high expectations and belief in his ability to deliver strong performances next year,” stated Team Owner Mike Genova. “Matt has an excellent opportunity to finish out the 2009 Motocross season riding a factory Yamaha and he will begin testing with our team in September as we prepare for 2010.”

The Florida native is coming off a strong performance at Washougal where he finished 4th in moto one and 11th overall for the day. Currently Matt is 15th overall for the series after missing a number of rounds recovering from injury.

“I’m happy to be part of a good team that is moving up,” said Matt. “I’m also excited to work with Steve Lamson again. I learned a lot from him in the past and look forward to learning more.”

MCRMX also has Tyler Bowers (450) and Vince Friese (250 East) signed for 2010.

MCRMX would like to thank team sponsors: MotoConcepts, FMF, FLY Racing, Pirelli, DeCal Works, Smooth Industries, Alpinestars, Utopia, TLR, Vortex, TCR, Sunline, Dragon Racing Fuel, Excel RK, Goldfren, Devol Engineering, Boyesen, Guts, Motion Pro, DT 1 Filters, Motorex, Leisure Concepts, Northwest Steel Fab., Extreme Motosport MX park.

Wrong, I read it here, he was going to factory Yamaha, or was it JGR???

The guy had a source and everything, now your saying he was wrong?? I'm going to have to re-think my whole take on message boards.

Good for him though, in this economy, great to hear someone is getting signed. Good luck to Matt!!!

Did you even read what it said?

Maybe this is some indication that there won't be a Factory Yamaha gig next year?

Your comprehension skills are a bit weak, it was just for the end of the season as a replacement rider. But then again, considering the behemoth thread, it's obvious you need a little work in that area.

No, I read that and I understand it. I read another thread on here making it sound like he was going to the factory team in 2010. Apparently jbomx 363 read the same thing I did?

Nope. I didn't read that, but.I DID assume it could be a tryout deal for Matt to have a chance at a Team Yamaha ride. Heck, I might have typed that out in another thread too.

Which now I'm wondering... why would Suzuki City let him go to Yamaha Factory, which I applauded them for, to only finish up the season and then not have the chance to hire him back?

Isn't MCRMX on Honda's? Will they switch to Yamaha's and have a new factory supported team? Ala JGR/L&M?

Confusing crap!

Whoever gave you that impression was wrong. It's just a replacement ride like all the others this season. Yamaha is aiming higher than Matt for a factory bike.

I doubt they will get Factory support, but I could see them running leased JGR motors like Wey has been doing.....
