Y'know I'm kind of pissed that Tony's resorted to this name calling about someone's opinion piece about basically how I think this super fast, hard-working good kid needs to change up his program and the fact that he will most likely NEVER ride for factory Suzuki, KTM or Honda again.

I'll just take the high road and let the column speak for itself. I like it and as usual, I'll be the first person to congratulate Mike when he rides great.

Tony, you've called me before-you have my number. Ring me up again, I have nothing to hide.

So their!

p.s- don't go see Funny People-it's not funny and is way too long.
Something tells me that this "So their" was intentional.

josh Grant and Andrew Short were no Mike Alessi in the amatuer ranks. Alessi losing is like Carmichael, Stewart, and Bradshaw losing.
Losing?

Alessi hasn't ever lost.......on occasion he got beat. So did them all. No one is undefeated.

And look who beat him? No something to be ashame of...... This thread and this article is a fucking joke.

The Alessi's are tough to deal with? So are the fucking factories.....big fucking whoop.

Alessi hasnt ever lost? Im not even sure where to go with that. Pretty sure getting beat and losing are exactly the same. And no, no one can win them all, but Alessi hasnt won any of them. By his amateur record he should be champion, and hasnt been.

"do it in the pros"

Alessi beats the shit outta everyone in pros that he did in the Am's.......just guy's like Bubba, RC, Villopoto and Tedesco scored a few more points "in the pro's" and they are more seasoned and just as succesful in the AMs. (By the way the Ams are a joke)

Are you fucking stupid? Look at the lap times, the moto results, the battles..... nothing wrong with Mikes program from top down.

This is like saying Chad Reed sucks because he only wins when Bubba and Ricky get hurt.......over and over and over again.

Alright if thats how you see it. Next question is why would suzuki not re-hire Alessi whether he won or not? Seems like any factory would be happy with a number one plate. And no he doesnt beat the shit out of everyone he did in ams as a pro, villo has killed him. Grant has done better then him in SX as has Millsaps.

Yes you are correct, they did not dominate like Mike did in the amateur ranks. Amateur ranks are ruled by the riders and now teams that have the best and the newest equipment if you cant get a start in a 4-5 lap race kiss the win good by. Mike always had the best bikes out there, his bikes made Villiopoto's Factory Kawasaki program look like a waste of time and money.

Mike podiumed in his second race the premier class at the age of 16 when all of the top riders were racing and at their peak. What changed you ask, Mike raced his own bike built by his own team of people. Mike new everything about his program and his bike and was 100 % confident in what he had going into the the race at Steel City. Those of you that have worked with teams and pro riders know that it takes some time to build a working relationship between everyone it cant happen in a few months and some times it never happens its just the way of life. I am not saying that Tony and Mike know everything no one knows everything, that is why there are experts in each department. But they sure are doing a dam good job and doing the best they can with the best they have.

To win in todays competition everything in a riders program must click and be routine, all it takes is on small glitch to have an effect on everything. There is one small pice of the puzzle that is missing for Mike, the answer is not getting rid of Tony or anyone. When they find that missing puzzle pice watch out because this kid will destroy the competition because his training and riding program is an elite program. That few of the top AMA SX and MX pros can finish on a regular basis.

Suzuki doesnt sell alot of bikes. They ponied up for RC and have limited market share gains. And now no more money. They fired all the Amateurs too.

They got Reedy on the cheapy because Larry stole his team and REED HAD NO WHERE TO GO ! Imagine that.

So now Mikey is out w/Suzuki. Big fucking whoop. Yamaha and Honda tossed the King to the curb.

Just business, not results.

Mikey is racing fine. Mathes got nothing to talk about other than J Law and now Mikey. A manufacturer of bullshit.

I thought the King left honda? And he was doing poorly on the yami, no reason for them to keep him.
It just seems odd to me that a team would get rid of a potential champion, and you not hear of other teams actively seeking him

I would like to see your sources on this post. You're calling out matthes for his "manufacturing" of facts.

Where are your suzuki sales numbers after RC signed?

Your Reed statement is false according to Chad Reed himself who told Matthes in the latest podcast that he took no actual pay cut and doesn't know why people think he did.

When was L&M ever Chads team? "L" stands for Larry just so you know.

Your entire post is pure speculation or made up on your part. That's what "know-it-all's" are known for though.

someone's opinion piece about basically how I think this super fast, hard-working good kid needs to change up his program and the fact that he will most likely NEVER ride for factory Suzuki, KTM or Honda again.

ha! way to back pedal , hurry try to look like a good guy , fact is matthes your a shit talker , you get paid to shit talk , "THE PEOPLE " know it ,maybe you need to change up your writing , oh but that dont sell does it ? need the dirty , the blood guts and tears ,the car accident !

kick them while thier down right ? mike alessi is bummed on how his season went i am sure all will agree , then comes matthes to drop the big boom ,during contract negotion time ! typical !! and thiers others like this just look at co , birds of a like feather flock togther .

got to laugh at this too Smile matthes and his affiliates are famous for using the words " MOST LIKELY" this is a good way to keep them from looking like dicks when thier wrong ! writing columns that are based on hear say are most likely inaccurace half the time !

on another note , hey matthes how come you never write your columns pinpointed at any of the members of small elite group of very powerful people that for now we will call " the syndicate" ??

matthes dont like when people call him out , talk about getting some of your own medicine ,hows it feel thier big boy??

bottom line is matthes lives off writing crap ,rumors, and half truths about riders ,mechanics ,people ,track workers, and hard working industry people !

matthes is a person who makes nothing ,fixes nothing ,produces nothing , but gathers up rumors ,and then writes a gossip column , we refer to this as a pos !

his facts are are wrong on all accounts with in his writing of alessi in pulp mx

wrong wrong wrong !!

but its like this if thier was a car accident on the freeway , and you hear about it from some one ,you really dont know what happen only what you interpreted them saying ,if you write about that ,your writing a rumor of a half truth .

however ,if you were thier then of course you know the real story ,your an eye witness.

(thats why news people send reporters on site to get the real story )

so.....matthes were you thier when any of the aligations you made happened ,or let me guess you herd from a realiable source ...yes thats what i thought !

you have zero credibilty as a reporter , oh wait your not a reporter at all , your just some ex mechanic looking for an easy way to make money writing rumors and half truths about the hard working people of this industry , my guess is your times up ,everyone has your number ..

Holy crap, 8 pages and counting. And all I had to do was be the first to link a Matthes story.

Smokin' Wink

I've been a big Alessi fan since that sunny Saturday at Southwick a couple years ago when my family shared some bleacher time with his. And last year he was the only one able to keep James honest, until that horrendous crash ended his season. Tough & gutsy, what's not to like about that? But I also didn't read any hate in that story, or the Lawrence one of a couple months ago - more like some concern that things turn out in the future like they maybe should. Tough & gutsy writing perhaps? I think the ones reading hate are bringing their own hate into it.

Nice seeing the new faces around here too. Cool

That's the thing, there ISN'T hate in it, just concern and an opinion, which is allowed...

IF AAA is Tony, then maybe you should read it as a commentator's piece on a sport he writes about... Steve ain't bashing Mike, in fact he credits him quite a bit throughout the piece, he is just concerned and offering an opinion like he can, and is allowed to, on how Mike maybe needs to change some stuff up to further his career...

And even without the "inside" info, it is probably pretty clear to see that regardless of results, the Alessi camp can sometimes rub people the wrong way... Still not a bash, just a comment...

mike kicked ass...but there were also other factors in that top 3 so to say it was a program driven finish is not correct.

For all those who are talking about mike and tony how can yall talk all this hate for one of the hardest working guys in this sport. what family dont have their up and downs. I have lived with them for 6months and they are some of the most dedicated hard working guys out there. for those of you that are hating on the alessi's you dont know from first hand on what really goes on unless you have spent one on one time with them and have lived with them some. as for matthes why dont you work for a mechanic anymore? is it easier to write talboids about other people?

I'll say again, great article.

The thread is a great comedy piece, thanks to those trying to defend Alessi. But I don't see what they are trying to defend. I suppose we'll see who's got the insight after the MX season is over and see who falls on which team.

Will it be Team Alessi? If so, I wonder what bikes they'll choose to run.
