Has called for President Biden to call the King of
Saudi Arabia to threaten him that if they don't reverse
their plan to reduce production of oil by 2 mb per day
that we would stop selling them parts for their fighter jets
we sold them. What a way to keep allies.

As the above cartoon so aptly illustrates, why fuck with a Biden when it's so much easier to just laugh at him. To think that these oil rich nations can't see the inevitable collapse of the Biden's presidency is now just a forgone conclusion. Why create any type of dust-up, when Bidens most formattable adversary is the one between his ears. Biden stands on vast reserves in his own soil but wanders around the globe derisorily believing he's not to be denied. Only to get a No Thanks, followed with a pat on the head and a punt to the rump back to the fantasy land he lives in.

Our local refinery buys mostly Saudi oil.
I don’t know why a company would build a refinery capable of refining more CDN oil when the government wants to shut down the industry and they can buy cheap middle eastern crude.

This actually wasn't supposed to be a bash Biden thread. That's been done ad nauseam. It was more about some of our elected officials (ca has some of the biggest kooks) that are pushing ideas that will drive us toward WWIII.
Our whole geopolitical landscape in the span of a few years will have changed more than the last 50. How long before the German population revolts when their people freeze this winter. We are entering some dark times coming up and we can't afford to keep pissing off allies. In this particular case
I get politicians trying to create a boogeyman that they will somehow control to be the hero but if some of these bad ideas take root, we're in real trouble.

This idiotic push to get rid of IC engine cars is another one. California does not have the power infrastructure for 100% electric cars. Period. In my area alone, about 25% of the people have to park on the street. Including me. How does that work?

There has always been a plentiful supply of idiots that want to be in politics. What I don't don't understand is why people vote for these crackpots.

I was at Costco last night to fill up the truck. Each line was 6 deep. Can you imagine if I had to wait for batteries to recharge for 20 min each? Before the line moves?
And, I couldn't even fill the tank because the price is so high the pump $$ limit stops the pump. Arghh!!

That complete point. As Elon musk stated. The war was within a peace talk. Putin was willing in February. However Not Ukraine, or Democrats. This is just sideshow. What I mean is the sovereign debt about to take place. That debt $31 Trillion needs to be rapaid. With interest rates rising. Billions of taxpayers $$$ will be paying down interest rates only. Guess who will be funding all those social programs as $$$$ funneled to interest payments. Sovereign debt is starting. Will be ugly. A war will take the people focus off the crumbling of Western societies, and focus on war. This all could have been prevented. With Republicans, Trump there was no War……… what shxxshxw. This has become last 24 months.

All I know is Tesla chargers are only for Teslas. We had a Polestar (I’d never heard of it, but it was a very well built car, I think made by Volvo) rental in CO. There are about six Tesla chargers at our hotel, but we’d have had to go to the local Target in Glenwood Springs to charge the Polestar.

Well the industry is still in it's infancy. Tesla was smart enough to know you can charge a small battery faster than you can charge a big one. So they use couple thousand small batteries instead of 20 big batteries. So yeah, they would have special chargers as you can't pump current that fast in the other EVs. Right now everyone is trying to have the best and set the standard. Like vhs and blu-ray.
