I came across the following documentary and wondered if any of you have watched it. You can watch it on a free website called xumo.tv

Only available in the US, so I can't watch it.

7 episodes. Episodes are around 45 minutes each.

Episode 1:

Exploring the history of supercross, starting with the first televised supercross event in 1975; it was the televised world's first introduction to the sport.

Episode 2:

In 1979 Los Angeles, one of the largest crowds in supercross history gathered to watch Bob Hurricane Hannah and other riders compete at the LA Superbowl of Motocross.

Episode 3:

By 1980, supercross gained proper recognition; Larry goes back before the famous 1979 event; a glimpse at newcomer, Brock the Goldenboy Glover.

Episode 4:

The first race of the 1981 season at Anaheim stadium; this race launches the return of Mike Bell, as well as the return of Bob Hurricane Hannah, who is back after an injury.

Episode 5:

Supercross comes of age in the early 1980s at Anaheim stadium; a sellout crowd of over 70,000 fans witnesses the glory of these days.

Episode 6:

The 1983 San Diego race at the Jack Murphy Stadium.

Episode 7:

Witnessing the initial Southern influences on the sport as an Atlanta stadium is transformed into a supercross track.

Are these the "On Two Wheels" series hosted by Larry Huffman ? I have the complete series on vhs tapes that I bought like 30 years ago. I transferred them all to DVD and there were like 20 tapes about 30 minutes each. All good vintage super-x races. What you listed above sounds like the same collection I have.

I'm not sure, but I know it was released this year.

It is the Larry Huffman series. How is it? Worth the watch?

Definitely worth watching. Races are mostly from the 80's and a few from the 70's. It was a 26 tape set, each about 30 minutes long. I don't know if anyone remembers Motovideo, they used to sell MX/SX and related videos back in the day. That's where I got my OTW set from. One of the tapes came blank with nothing on it, I called Motovideo about it and they told me they would send me another tape, but the bastards never sent me one. I also remember the same set being sold by someone else several years ago. They had renamed it, but it was the same races that I have.

If any of you have Sling TV, the On Two Wheels: A History Of Supercross is on the Choppertown channel. I’ve been able to record about 5 episodes.

I can't access anything on there. Try searching with Google.
