19 rmz450 Judder spring removal?

I can remove the judder spring and reinstall the same plates, bolts and I have new springs left over from a previous clutch. Right?

And instantly enjoy a better more precise, more direct, and zero drag clutch feel.

So going off the diagram, remove part number 11 and 12 completely from the stack and put back together?

Behind the friction disks and plates are 2 bent springy steel plates. They do look like 11 and 12 from the diagram.

It’s quite obvious once you get in there.

You’ll have normal clutch plates and then 2 dopey non flat bendy pieces of steel. They are the judder springs. They come out just like the clutch plates, pop them out. Pop the stack back in, and you’ll have a more direct clutch feel, that will actually fully disengage and feel like it should.

I've got a question for you guys. I pulled the judder springs on mine and the engagement window feels razor sharp now. It's like I have about 2mm or less of finger movement to work with. It's actually a bit hard to take off. What gives? Is the clutch on this bike just this finicky? Beforehand the window was so wide with the judder springs it was hard to use, now we went the opposite direction. Any advice/tips? I don't think I can use only one of the judders, can I?

I personally preferred it when I removed the judder springs from my RMZ450. How much have you ridden since? You will probably get used to it after a few days on the bike.

What clutch lever/perch are you using? This can impact the engagement

Everything stock except for an adjustable lever for throw. It may change when I ride it on the track. I didnt notice when I had it out last but now in the neighborhood it’s noticeable. Better get out and ride and then check back.

So that’s actually the purpose of them at least allegedly. They make the window wider and engagement more forgiving. But they also make it less direct and make it many times drag and not fully disengage coming into corners under hard braking.

Is it possible to run one of them? They do appear to be codependent.
