Seriously tho.. this shit is stupid.. moto was so much better in the late 90s early 2000s when they were out for the betterment of the sport and not robbing people blind. Lol.. then again, never thought there would be a day I'd pay 10k for a 450 that wasn't damn near factory lol...
I don't remember these altruistic businessmen that you speak of. Every person in business that I've ever known always wanted to maximize their profit. Every employee I've ever known always wanted to maximize their rate of pay. Every consumer I've ever known wanted to get the most value for their dollar.

The reason why ticket prices for anything have been going up is that we have become an experiential society. We have shown to the event promotors and park owners etc. that we are willing to pay more money for a better experience. They will continue to raise prices for these experiences until people shown they are not willing to pay them. As of now they have not found the market clearing price.

Love that I get downvoted for using facts and logic. People are weird. lol

I didn't down vote you because I can't really disagree with anything you wrote. However, it's still fn stupid lol.. The crash will happen (soon at this rate) and the frivolous spending will stop..

Unfortunately for us poor people, there’s plenty of rich people to buy the overpriced things we can’t afford. The VIP areas pretty much ruin the viewing for us normies so I hope OP enjoys the hell out of his experience.

Oh, we are crashing now. lol

Logic says you are right and there has to be a tipping point but it seems like ticket prices are immune to the economy. It's really bonkers because there doesn't seem to be a ceiling.

For me, I wouldn't be interested because for all the times I've been to Red Bud I've never watched from those locations.

Top of the line tickets arent cheap to watch special events anywhere. Sx mx is way cheaper. Than other. More popular sports, go price. A courtside playoff. Nba game or on the field nfl game. No comparison in value. Depending what you like. People have 200k 13k. Dirt bikes. And think these event tickets. Should be. Cheap. Lol. Business is business. , Goal is making money. Like everybody on here. Make the most $$ you can make.

In 2018 we bought those grandstand seats overlooking the Daytona turn & the valley for 25.00 per day.
Somehow .. those drunk Swedish guys & their chainsaws still found us, guessing that wont happen in the 2K VIP seats.
You'll miss out on a lot of the international moto-flavor & culture that occurs in between the moments when someone's screaming reeeeed-buuuuud in your ear.

There's a time & place to just pony up & go 1st class - well done OP, have a terrific weekend.

Go VIP a Formula 1 race, and get back to us.

We used to do flagging and communication for sports car races.
Someone would toss you a sammy and some chips at lunch, at the flag stand.

When we would work the Ferarri Challenge races, they pulled all of us in and fed us steaks.

It's all about the "what it is".

I went to Red Bud 2018. Bought VIP tickets and the cost was $750 a ticket. I thought that was a bunch. When the ticket prices came out this year, I was like no way. Good luck.

Couple tips for you in the tent:
Get to the tent first. Early, early early.
Once your in the tent, go to the table where you can see the track. Move your chairs to the edge or by the fence. People will and they will, move right in front of you.
Drink and eat all you can.
Good luck.
This is good information. I got a great table and had premiere seating, then the late comers wander in and stand right in front of you, blocking your view, unless we stood up. So frustrating ……

The food is not what I expected, hopefully they upgrade the food for that price. I thought $750 was a bit steep, compared to $250 for Hangtown and similar cost for other venues I’ve been to with the VIP treatment.

Being out of the weather was one of my main concerns with being in the tent, which was nice. The 2- ports potties stayed relatively clean which is a plus if you’re bringing your wife. We got rained on a bunch so the pits were a mess. The poor vendors got hammered and the parking lot was mud big city.

Being that said, I had a great time and it looks like the weather will be a lot better this time around. Have a great time and practice your “RED BUD”
I’m going to be watching from my couch this year

Holy phoook.

I can afford that but I would never pay it...not a freaking chance. No sporting event/concert is worth that kind of money to me.

If you're happy....that's all that matters.

You guys should see how much I have spent so far for the Texas F1 race next month. They had 304000 people last year and it sold out months ago for this years race, at least there will be 3 in the USA next year with Vegas getting in on it. MXDN is cheap compared to F1 races. Blink

I looked at one VIP package for Miami F1 and it was 35K and that was getting one of the dry dock boats in the fake harbor turn. Pinch

Will I be rubbing shoulders with my childhood motocross hero's? Hopefully.

Will my wife appreciate catered lunches and porta john's far away from all you hoodlums? Yes.

Will I have the best seat in the house to watch ET101, CS103, and JC102 bring home the Chamberlin trophy? Most definitely.

Friends/Family always let me know "Why in the Hell did you spend so much money for that?.

My answer; "You spend money every week/Month on what you enjoy. I spend Money like this once every 2-3 years if that."
I spend less money on stuff I enjoy than they do every week/Month/year.
And really enjoy the unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience.

The price that I paid for Diamond VIP didn't bother me so much.

But the kick in the balls was having to still pay $150 per person for general admission on top of it! Blink

Yep! $4100+ I couldn"t justify, especially when my partner from 2018 is getting Married next month.
I paid $1429 for 2 VIP Gold passes in '18 no extra charges, and people thought I was crazy then!
1/3 as much for what was the best VIP then.
I figured for $4100+ I could go to the MXoN in another country, stay for a week, get GA tickets and have a new experience.
Dear old Dad always told me "The greedy will one day be the needy".
