2000 procircuit kx250 replica

Just picked up a 2000 kx250 and plan on doing a 2000 procircuit kx250 replica . The bike was trashed all the plastics and bars but motor is new rebuild top and bottom and got lucky the bike has pc correct ti pegs, linkage and period correct stinger tip silencer . I’m going strip it down send for powder coating and rebuild chassis with all new bearings and get some black excel rims . It’s going take a good year I figure to do just like my 2002 fast by Ferracci husky I just finished . Any help on finding parts I would really appreciate.

Thanks I just love the early 2000s motocross team bikes maybe it’s because that’s when I was a young teen and feel in love with the sport but all the team graphics and bikes just looked so dam cool back then. The new four stroke team bikes just don’t do it for me like the late 90s early 2000 team bikes !!

Same here, and I wasn’t even born until 2001. Grew up on my dads old Terrafirma tapes. I’m doing my KLX110 with a Splitfire theme, but I definitely want to build a 96 Lamson CR125 and a 96 Kevin Windham Yz125.

I have a works KHI crank (magnesium) im selling. Hit up kxpete, possible he have some stuff you might need. Also Crguy might have some goddies for your build. These PC/KHI parts are really drying up.

Their is a KHI KX 250 SR crankshaft on eBay right now for $399 in France. I found from a guy in Uk carbon silencer, pipe and magnesium clutch cover

Started washing bike really good and stripping down to get frame out to powder coat . The chassis was beat bolts missing but previous ow we said motor was built not long ago and the motor looks really clean and all bolts look new on it

Stripped the the subframe of the bad black paint job last owner did and the oem green under it. Was a really terrible job to do but pretty rewarding when seeing the end results .

Stripped the nickel finish off this pc plat pipe and pulled sent out . Think it’s looks pretty good now . I haven’t decided if I’m going use this pipe or sletchen one or the r304 shorty stinger tip silencer or the factory kawi sr carbon silencer

Cleaned up the motor. Should have graphics and seat cover next week and hopefully have frame back from powder coat , can’t wait to see how the flo green looks. Don’t know if I’ll do like what I did with husky and order every bolt from husky it’s a pain in the ass doing that or maybe I’ll try a spec bolt kit .

Decided to sand out the casting lines and polish the bottom triple clamp. I’m looking for pc ones or khi triple clamps. The bike came with a tag top clamp and stock bottom so I decided to this un tell I can find pc triple clamps or khi ones . Turned out pretty good .

Lot of fing work lol . Used these 3m green then red disc then scotch brite pads red then green, used lot of penetrate oil like wd 40 on the scotch brite pads and all over exhaust

Might want to count the bolt holes in that inner clutch case make sure it’s the same as yours…

The covers fit the clutch and ignition don’t know about the inner clutch case . Looks like everything would line up but not sure . I got these on trade for some Italian husky parts

I talked to a couple people today that have sr parts and they said the inner case will bolt to L and K motor so it should be ok same amount bolts and looks same. Guess I’ll find out lol

If anyone wants it. The other outer clutch cover fits perfect and ignition cover. Things you learn first kawi I have ever owned

Ok I’m not putting bike prob back together tell spring time so prob won’t know tell then. Winter is starting here and don’t have heat in garage . I didn’t pay anything for any of the parts so it’s not that big of a deal they’re all from a good buddy over in the Uk and we have been trading parts so I’ll just send him back whatever doesn’t fit . I had a bunch left over factory husky parts for early 2000s husky’s I have been trading him .

Lemme know if you wanna sell the stock clutch cover. I have a Boyesen one on mine but the stock ignition cover, think I’d rather just go stock.
