With Josh Grant out things are looking pretty bad. Who do we send now? Dungey for sure. Tedesco (pray he gets 2 starts) and who else? Hahn? Have we ever sent privateers before?

A lot of other country's can't even pick 3 pro riders so in my eyes top 5 should not be a problem. A podium must be possible as well.
A win ? Difficult but not impossible. France is sending a B-team, Belgium will probably be sending a B-team, Germany only has 2 top riders, South-Africa has a lot of injured riders. New-zeeland has the same problem. Australia looks strong tho...
A win is not impossible but it won't be as easy as last year or the year before.
jk, lol. probably gonna be MX1 Tedesco, MX2 Dungey, MX3 Shorty
HEY!!!!
how about MX1 Tedesco or Short, MX2 Barcia, MX3 Dungey (on a 450)
if all our guys finish top 10 in each moto, then we have a good shot.. when USA went like 1-3, 1-2, 2-4 or whatever.. we killed everyone!! i think france was 1 point out from winning last year and ferry went 14-5 or something, villopoto went like 1-9 and bubba went 1-34
On paper Italy looks to be the favorite yes but i am not that sure.
Cairoli is good, but he even tho he is leading the MX1 world championships he does not look as strong as the previous years. He always starts bad and always has to work his way up to the front and he just looks less comfortable on the 450.
David Phillipaerts is not as strong as last year. Last year he was always fighting for podium places but this year he is often struggling in between P6 and P10.
And who has to ride the 250 ? Davide Guarneri ? He maybe is 4th in the current MX2 world championships standings but that mostly is because he is is very consistant. He always seems to finish and gather some points and therefor he is that high up.
I am not sure if that is enough to win the mx of nations.
btw Devindavis.. that looks like a great team and you are absolutely right. You don't need to win everything. If you can put in 5 top 10 places you have a very big chance of winning this event.
Definitely and interesting year!
