Maybe that’s a good start. We need AT LEAST 30 riders at the gate each round to make the series believable again. I wonder what guys like Wilvo, F&H, Standing are thinking when they pour millions into their raceteams only to see 9 GP regulars at the oversea races sometimes.

Plus the fact that guys like van Doninck (who has made himself a top 10 regular) barely can make a living is to be ashamed off.
Perfectly put.

Team's will pull out as series is becoming a joke.

Top ten riders not getting paid a living salary.

So anyone has more info which teams are/might be impacted by the Jumbo/Fiod story in the Netherlands?
What’s the story?
Jumbo sponsors many teams this has serious implications.

Frits van Eerd/Jumbo is the Red Bull from the Netherlands so this has impact on most any form of professional motorsport in the Netherlands, Herlings, Nestaan MX team, Max Verstappen etc. etc are all sponsered by Jumbo!
The prime suspect Not Frits van Eerd has run a MX team for Frits van Eerd/Jumbo, he is well-known in the Dutch motocross world, but is also well-known internationally

Money laundering. Apparently he’s in still in incarceration too. Many people are already jumping to conclusions, but nothing is sure so far. Doesn’t however look good at this point

Fudge... If proven guilty this might have huge consequences. MXGP paddock does not need any more slaps in the face this year...

Agree this could be a huge problem factory teams should be ok but the smaller teams may struggle without the sponsorship could see more teams disappear which would mean even less line up at the gate. After last season lost interest in MXGP the tracks, line ups, footage and overall quality is miles behind the times and if there not carful could get left behind. Look at LIV golf massive money and the DP tour will struggle. WSX will be better than MXGP IMO.

Does the lack of factory support ultimately hinge on how many bikes are sold in Europe versus the US? The AMA series probably has at least 2x the number of factory rides, for sure in the 250 class.

The fans sure show up to the MXGP races (when they are not racing in some ridiculous location), but maybe that is not translating into bike sales? Some of the tracks are incredible, but too many locations and tracks are just not very good IMO.

And agree with what a lot of others have said, the In Front management seems determined to run the series into the ground. It looks like their goal to just make as much money as they can over the next couple of years and they don't seem to care about the long-term...

To be fair to Infront, they have reduced the MX2 entry fee to €300 for next year as well as potentially reduced entry fees for MXGP wildcards and doubling the freight allowance for non factory teams

Still confused why MXGP riders are not interested in the WSX at all.
Sure, MX is the real sh*t while SX is more of a show, but theres no money in MXGP, the €1000 entry fee is a joke,
less than 22 bikes on the top class even in some european rounds.. those random races at Turkey with "39 fans",all the "two rounds in indonesia" and "races in the middle east" (Oman? Qatar? Saudi) BS...
Weeeird. Hope the silly season is more focused on fixing these stuff

Riley. Hutten is EMX only and is already full.

But if the Riley team is still around next year is another thing…

Rumors are Infront is gonna help and support the teams more for the fly aways with shipping cost and fly tickets for riders/staff.

That would be the right thing to do, otherwise those races and the championships are getting a big downfall really quick.

Who says mxgp riders are not interested? Imo its just not a great fit.
For a guy like Tomac its good prep for next sx season and probably well positioned in his preseason schedule. For the top gp riders its not helping them prepare for next season at all, its a distraction with risks (ask Febvre).

For the midpack guys in mxgp where it would be a very good option financially i question how many wsx teams have interest in guys who have not raced SX seriously ever.

I know they gotta go where the money is but if riders are not getting paid and the promoter is stuck in 2010s models (event)...

A MXGP with rounds in Australia, America and Japan would make more sense to me than Indonesia, Oman, Qatar and Turkey u'know?

Anyway, everything is weird haha

To be honest i would expect those gps in indonesia to bring jn more money into the sport then a gp in australia or us would bring. The problem is that all/most of that money ends up at Infront.

So some of the silly season news from mxplanet and mxmag from the past couple of days:
* David Braceras to F&H in MX2 for next year. Nice signing i think.
* Raths motorsport closes its doors, very sad to hear that.
* Henri Jacobi will ride for Kosak KTM at the final ADAC German masters this weekend. Dave Kooiker (Hutten Yamaha) will do this for WZ racing (KTM)
* Young motion racing (which did a few wildcards in MX2 with Glen Meier this year) will step up to full mx2 in 2023, no mention of riders
* SB racing signs Francisco Garcia for emx250 as replacement for Jago Martinez who is to old for emx250.
* Toendel goes to SM Action on a KTM in MX2
* Hakon Frederiksen will not continue on Honda and is expected to end up at a Dutch team (no mention which one) in MX2

No more Henri Jacobi full time in Gps. He will do ADAC for Sarholz and some selected middle european GPs.
Also Max Spiess will move from EMX250 to wildcards in MXGP and do ADAC for Kosak.
