Jamie, it does sound a little bit suspect. Not saying it is, just letting you know how it can be perceived. I noticed you never posted your address. Any reason not to? Especially if a member graciously offered to send you some gear free of charge? Either way, good luck!
Hi, Yeah I can see at first glance it may look suspicious but I have literally replied and explained as much as possible to everyone and crowe660 who asked for my address, I messaged him privately and added him as a friend im just waiting on a reply, Didn't know if it was responsible to post my full address on main topic page. If crow660 can help when he replies I will just delete the gofund me page and I even offered to send him money as soon as I get some.

I can see your thinking but I don't even need money, People are reaching out to help me with their old used stuff which is even better in my eyes, people actually willing to give me their equipment that they may not use, I can close the gofundme no problem, its not about the money, As I said I'd drive around with an old smelly helmet and holes in boots if I need too, no scam at all, I would never attempt that whatsoever im just an honest guy looking for some help while im in a rut (excuse the pun)
Then why even set up the gofundme? Just ask for some XXL moto trousers. Whatever those are.
XXL Trousers? This is an example, its a size.

All I really need is a helmet and boots and I can wear jeans and a jacket for protection.

Find a pair of *motocross* pants labeled xxl as a size. You’re scamming people. Came in here expecting people to dump into your gofundme and give you free shit but that didn’t happen. Now your back pedaling and saying just boots and a helmet will work. If you can’t afford either of those you shouldn’t be on a dirt bike at all right now. Go to work and buy gear like the rest of us did.

Unfortunately, I don’t have boots or helmets in that size and I’m not comfortable donating to the gofundme.

But if you want to hop back on here when you have a little extra cash to cover shipping, I’d be willing to send you a set.

I have a small collection of No Fear gear from the early-mid 00s and it’s stored in bins or hanging on the wall. A lot of pieces still have tags. It’s not going anywhere, so if you genuinely need a hand, reach back out, maybe we can even split the shipping.

Completely wrong, I did work for everything I had, ive gave up on the gofundme that idea was stupid, it does seem suspicious, I just needed a little help after stupid thieves took up stuff thats all. I've had the bike from new in 2008 and spent thousands but being made redundant and the theft of my gear was a bad blow to me, I just reached out in a chance somewhere someone could help. Sorry to all who think its a scam or misleading.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum as a member however I've always came here to read on the forums about new products, bike reviews and help to fix problems, However this problem is a hard one to fix at the moment, Some dirty thieves tried to steal my YZ250F 2008 bike but luckily were unsuccessful however they did take my gear bag with all my motocross gear, Helmet, boots, suit and some track tools, if anyone has any used stuff they don't need anymore in XXL I can help with shipping, I did have a gofundmepage but everyone thought it was a scam so I've taken that down now to save hassle, Hope you are all riding smart and safe,

why should I pay for your stolen gear?

I've had my gear stolen before, but i didn't even think to beg for more on-line... I just went out and bought more...

If you can't afford to buy more... you do not have the cash to ride... make more $$$$, or spend less on other crap... but if you think it's cool to do on-line begging for a leisure sport... you might want to re-examine your priorities....

Had my gear bag stolen two years ago from my friends truck. They broke out the rear driver side window (crew cab).

I didn't come on here begging the community for a hand out.

If I wasn't made redundant I wouldn't be, But its so weird how its a 50/50 split, I have riders willing to help and riders putting me down even more, Great community spirit! Thanks to all who are not being negative and telling me what they didn't do when they had problems. Thanks to the guys who stop and think maybe this dude needs a little help right now.

In 2008 during the recession my parents both lost their jobs and sold off all my dirtbikes, gear, etc... It took me 6 years after moving out to be able afford a truck, bike, gear, etc... It takes time man. If you want to ride, work for it. If you don't want to work for it, you don't want to ride. I would say your lucky to still have a bike. Imagine how much further back you would be without that.

Aww man I feel for you, ive worked since I was 15 and now 33 and this is the first time I've not had a job I think I just went into panic mode when my stuff got robbed, I am looking for work now as sitting in this house everyday is soooo shit! But your right it takes time, il get a job and save up again for some more gear and this time il keep it in this house to save it from being stolen again, Ramp up security big time also. I feel bad you lost all your stuff back then man but glad your all good now of course.

All mx bikes are off road. Insured. Old saying goes. If ya cant afford to lose it. Insure.it.

I generally have a pretty soft heart fort people in need but after reading more of your story let’s get this straight.

1. Thieves stole your gear (sucks)
2. No job at the moment
3. Instead of spending time finding a new job to actually pay for things you need, it seems your biggest worry is about replacing your stolen mx gear by asking for donations or handouts?

MX is a luxury. It’s the thing I enjoy most in my life, but also would be gone if the money ran out. Get a job, save some money, buy your own shit like the rest of us and move on. Your priorities are backwards as shit. I’d probably dig your accent though.

1. Yeah really sucks, 1st time its ever happened.

2. Was just made redundant for the 1st time in my life so its a shock to my system as I've worked since I was 15 now 33 and I am applying like mad every single day for so many jobs my hand hurts from writing worse than it would riding for 5 hours straight.

3. Your right I shouldn't be thinking about riding at the moment its just panic mode I got into and you know yourself when you can't ride it sucks so bad, it just helps release so much stress.

4. Yeah my accent is strong lol and your right it is a luxury, I just got myself in a pickle and panicking because its my love in life riding trails and tracks. Priority is Job, Save, Buy new Shit!

Thanks man!

Haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but I’m stumped on how at 180lbs, XXL gear would even fit you. At 6’7 and 100lbs heavier than you I wear XXL. Are your helmet, boots, goggles and gloves XXL also?

Something strange is going on here.

I think US/Canada and UK sizes are much different im 6,4 and 180lbs my UK size is XXL same when I order Adidas or Nike outfits but Jesus I knew Canada had an obesity problem but what size of bike do you ride if your that big and heavy? Something strange is going on with you if you let yourself get that big, poor bike, you must go through pistons every other day.
