I think all the announcers bring something to the table. I'm black, so I have no problems saying James is near the bottom half of the announcer tier. He's James "Bubba" Stewart" for god's sake, but in my opinion he tries way too hard to be a comedian. Yes he has good insight, and yes, I realize its only his second time in the booth. The issue I specifically had was him predicting passes, and when they didn't occur, he kept on trying to be the swami on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. It's gonna happen, It's gonna happen, right here, right here, it's gonna happen....until it didn't. Give me Malin, Bailey, GL and the Golden Boy over Fro Daddy, RC and Bubba any day of the week.

Horrible. “it aint over”, “happy to be here witch you”, “both feets off the pegs”, “he gots him”…come on man, I appreciate his knowledge but how about someone who is somewhat literate to be in the position of speaking to an audience? Let the down votes rain.

100% correct. Ricky always has a condescending attitude about him and sort of a nasally little voice . He lost all credibility as an announcer when he tried to cover up the bogle incident. Its great that no one misses him

How are people complaining? Not like he's signed to announce every race next year. He did great. There was repetition, some bad calls, but that's sports folks. We got to have one of the greatest in the booth for the championship. That's cool as shit. Was he perfect? If course not. I think he stumbled less than RC. I think most of his insight was solid. And whether his humor landed or not for you, at least he's trying to make the booth and sport fun. I, for one, would be stoked if he came back for a few races next year. Get Seeley and Deano in there too. Weigant permanent, and guest racers in the booth is a very good dynamic.

When Craig was trying to pass Anderson he said Craig better be careful if he wants to see his kids again! Gold for sure and we need more of that along with his honesty about riding and his analysis. If Ricky would do the same he would be great too. I could care less about the grammar errors.
