This has been awesome lol what a read.
You may just be witnessing MX history.
I feel this thread could spawn a Vital MX 4-stroke pit/play bike series.
Classes will be structured off of posters level of shit talking.
We could call it the Steve Bruhn Cup!

I don’t have the bike yet, waiting to have possession or for him to send them to me. It’s been one day since we spoke lol, I’ll get them soon enough.

I assumed you had the bike. Just curious to see what it is.

She’s a great woman who wouldn’t even acknowledge your presence, so there’s that… you’re a real piece of trash bro! All because u claimed I was wrong and wouldn’t stick around to admit it, and now that it’s your turn… you’re really manning up to the wrong part. Do yourself a favor and quit it. Just go away before you overdue it.

First of all, you changed the name of this thread. You originally stated that one of these pit bike superminis had been claimed, which was never the case. Further, when it was pointed out by Jeff Alessi and others that this 4 stroke mini was basically a one off pit bike race at amateur nationals, you continued on as if you were proven right. They never raced these things in supermini class, so just move on. It was a one off pit bike open mini class. Not supermini’s
I knew what he was talking about with his original post, he may have had details wrong, but I remember the 4 stroke craze sweeping the sport and dipping into the minis for a bit. There were people earlier that didn't believe the bike even existed, but like I said earlier, it was a random memory that has stuck with me since that was around the time I became interested in the sport. Cool nostalgia for me.

The guys at Vurb moto should have some footage of the actual race then.
I think that video was made by the guys at Vurb.

Found this video with whitney footage from 2003 I believe.
Might want to glance through it.

See you still don’t get it. This was not a one off pit bike race or anything even close, this was a class for several years at most races even some nationals. You again missed that part. Also again, I was told by the owner of the bike he got it through protest. Also yes at several events they raced these in 80 classes with many of the kids riding them beating 80 riders including the guy who owns the bike bcuz I watched him do it. You were one of the first to comment that you didn’t even know this existed. Not here to fight just came for the bike… I responded poorly to poor behavior. Have a good night dude.

Ask Terry Varner about the motor.
You can find contact info on varnermotorsports.com
Yeah, that's what that Vermeer guy actually worked on.

No matter whose feelings it hurts. It appears more people are interested in this bike. And the story behind it. Than the few who have nothing to say but beat the op up just because a few details were off. Following. Hope op continues to fill us in as more details and pics surface.

I remember the Langtown Races from MXA back in the day. I always wanted a trick fourstroke mini.

Bought my nephews CR85, sold the motor N electronics. Picked up a freshly rebuilt XR100 motor.

I was doing research on how to modify the frame for every thing to fit. I recall the airboot was a big head scratcher. About the time I was ready to tear into the project and order parts/start cutting frame, Honda released the CRF150. Not only took the wind out of my sails, but also the whole CR/XR cottage industry that popped up almost overnight.

I still have the CR85 & XR100 motor. Anyone?

I sort of wish OEM’s sold these drz125’s xr150’s whatever out of the box with decent forks. Kind of a fun play bike for an adult. No I don’t want to crack my knee cap riding a 110

Maybe the motor was sent off to Varner to freshen up. Should get back anytime now.

Dude I owned a Varner 2011 yz250. That was one of the most wicked engines I’ve ever had. I think he got to drugs and alcohol and gave up work, but that man knew how to port and polish

Basically neighbors ganging up on him over the noise with complaints to the city or county.
So they stopped the racing/parties.
Correct. When it all started it was very much an invite only, strict admittance gathering, but it grew over the years to be a giant party and the neighbors started pushing back. Bobby's street would be lined with trucks and box vans taking up all the spots and eventually it got "shut down".

He still has some of the track in his yard funny enough.

Yeah It became quite popular.
I can even remember the old Moto World TV show on TNN covering the event! Woohoo

Even if we do get pictures, they will still not be the most controversial four stroke mini pictures on the internet. I present to you, the largest jump ever done on an xr100.
