I’ve been in this sport and on this board, and its previous iterations, for a very long time. In the last few years the people here have done a few things for me:

1. They me less proud to be a fan of motocross, and then made me less of a fan of motocross, because a lot of the fun is having someone else to talk to about it.

2. They have provided a pulse on what the MAGA crowd is thinking and talking about.

You get an echo chamber when you force out the people who have a different opinion, and then you see enforced beliefs as the people who stay continue to pump each other’s beliefs.

You guys are crazy. You drink the kool-aid and then talk about folks you don’t know based on what you hear from people on this board and people like the ones on this board.

Growing up racing I knew I was different than much of the crowd, but I loved it and had a blast. I went to college and paid off my student loans, struggled to get where I am in my career and now pay a lot on taxes from a blue state that goes on to fund red states and red state interests that I don’t always agree with.

Subsidizing citizens in any way should never cause us to fight against each other. Subsidizing banks and oil companies and other large corporations should cause us to fight together against such things.

I think it should be considered patriotic to want to support your fellow American, to want them to be better educated and to be healthier. If you build a country of the best people you will get the best country. Nobody here should be hungry or sick or homeless with all the abundance we have.

Members of both major parties are lying and pandering to keep their position and plenty should be in jail. These people are the “elites”, and not the people who live in cities and have college degrees, who they tell you to be mad at. You sound like an idiot when you mention Hunter Biden in response to Donald Trump’s legal trouble. One situation doesn’t excuse the other and and you’re just making yourself sound like a parrot in a house with Fox News on all day.

Democratic attempts to drive wedges between Americans through tribalism and intersectional grievances is un American. Just look at who is benefiting from this, the elites, and who is paying the price, the people.

It is the government’s responsibility to provide the environment for us, all the people, to achieve life, liberty, and happiness according to our ***individual interests***. As Americans, we are granted special protections and freedoms to do this that people in other countries do not have. Because we are ***individually***pursuing life, liberty, and happiness there will be differences. These ***differences are not inequality***. Individually pursuing happiness is part of what makes Americans great. Demanding equity to achieve equality based on arguments of intersectional biases is false and un American. We all have the power to achieve what we want according to our individual interests.

Your position is troubled, and I find it odd that you are proclaiming that you are part of the problem and want things changed to your way.

Actually he is doing quite well here. Excellent in fact. He let guys like you say what you wanted to say , and let the people who oppose what you were saying , say what they wanted. That is the way the world should work. But guys like you get frustrated by being proven wrong at every turn , they start throwing names and insults.

As far as this place and ML goes.......it is a huge improvement over what it was a year ago. And I'm not taking anything away from GuyB here , because he pretty much built this place. Me and him on this board didn't agree on quite a few political things , and I even had to sit on the bench for a year because of him. BUT........even though politically different , I still consider him a friend when I see him in person. I have other people on this board that I know personally , which are complete opposite in my political views , and I love em'.

Why? Because this political crap doesn't mean anything. It matters about 1%. The other 99% is filled with just regular life stuff. We literally never talk about politics because we have way to much other shit to talk about.

You , myself , ML , anyone else.........will never change another person's political stance on here.

I would say the vast majority of us appreciate the way you are running this board.. I got booted several times by Steve and every time it was deserved. His place his rules. I never looked at it with any animosity towards Steve and if I ever saw him at a race I would have loved to go see him, he’s a great guy who loves our sport. For the most part we all get along pretty well, if we didn’t have opposing views this place would be silent. I’ll do my best to not get into name calling/personal attacks, if I do slip up then by all means I deserve the kick in the ass timeout. Thanks Michael! You are doing a great job

The fact he took this on , means sanity was in short supply.

But i agree.

By favouring neither side , both will be happy to come play, the instant you dont, you alienate half of your audience.

And what is clear , is that those that respond to the 'loud minority' end up finding out who really paid their wages.

Get Woke , Go Broke, seems to be a recurring theme, and by sitting on the fence, and letting the sport be the sport ( which Moto has done pretty well) , you dont shoot yourself in the foot.
