I'm visiting some family in Littleton, Colorado and trying to find a day trip single track trail for Sunday 8/28/22. I plan on riding Thunder Valley MX Saturday 8/27/22. Any information would be helpful as I'm from Iowa and have never rode out there. Ill be on a 2019 yz450 and looking for something that isn't more than 2 hours away from Littleton and that will have really good scenery/High elevation ridgeline stuff. Not really interest in jeep trails. Thank you for the help!

Rampart range will be the closest to u, unless you wanna drive a bit further. Decent amount of single track there, close to 70 miles i think.
Download "cotrex" app, go to menu and select motorcycles. it will show you all the trails and you can download the maps so you can access them without cell service!
Have an awesome time and be safe!

Rampart Range has some fun trails but can be a bit of a madhouse on the weekends, its much better during the week. If you don't mind a bit longer drive, the Grand Lake area is really nice and has way better views. Tons of mapped trails, way fewer ATV's and just less traffic in general. Thunder Valley is a blast, have fun!

You are going to need an OHV sticker. If you go by Fay Myers Motorcycle Shop at 9700 E. Arapahoe Rd, it will only cost you $10 as an out of state resident. They will have a trail map for Rampart Range. The main parking lot at the north end of RR is off Hwy 67 about 10 mile west of Sedalia. Enjoy.

Does anybody have any information on the tenderfoot trail system near Dillon CO? I found that on COTREX maps. Also what would be the best trails at Rampart Range to hit?

Tenderfoot is a pretty easy single track area, not too much as far as mileage, but it’s a fun ride. Bikers and hikers the 2 times I went so watch out for them. +1 on COTREX it’s got 98% of the trails on it.

Depends on where you are in Littleton but this is usually on the way to Rampart, or at least conveniently located not far out of the way to pick up tags. They require a title for in-state ohv annual registration, not sure on out-of-state.

Look at 770 in the rampart trail system. It’s the single track. There are several gates to jump into the single track.

Trails are bidirectional so take care on the feeder trails to the single track stuff. Most of the folks riding 770 trails are pretty solid but there are blind corners. Hydrate. Colorado is really dry and feels a lot cooler cause the sweat evaporates quickly.
