I haven’t seen anything about the equipment for the new series. What kind of equipment are they running? US spec “production” bikes, full works, or something else?

And are riders being tested for PEDs?

If this has been talked about at length somewhere and I totally missed it then flame away. But maybe add a link so I can find out the answer?

No works bikes as no manufacturers will be involved just private teams. They are under FIM sanction so WADA will handle the drug testing.

But is it a rule no works bikes?

Just cause they are private teams does not mean they can't have one off works bikes....

It's FIM sanctioned so I would assume that works bikes like they have in the GP's would be allowed...but without manufacturer support I doubt you will see any in a 3 race series...

I know most people don’t like Gypsy Tales but he has a whole podcast with some of the founders and pretty much everything everyone keeps speculating on Vital was covered months ago. From money to the logistics of moving between races. I’m sure stuff will be subject to change but it give an idea of what to expect. Everyone is afraid it’s going to hurt the ama series but in my opinion the only thing hurting any of our current series is the fact that they are afraid to change the program and try new things.

Last I asked, it was going to be more based on AMA rules for bikes.

Thanks for the info!

Is it just me, or does the series have a slight “monster jam” feeling? A great thing about both AMA series is the ability for a fast nobody to show up and make the show, maybe earn points and work their way into the show. Any sport where the contestants are preselected just gets a scripted feel to me. If the promoters start supplying or handling the bikes I probably won’t watch at all.

You do realize Monster Jam and Supercross are the same group...theyre both considered "productions"

Is KR going to be able to lease/borrow HRC equipment?

Yes, Feld owns them both. But the way they’re run is very different. In Monster Jam, Feld owns the equipment and I believe the drivers are under contract to Feld with outside sponsorship making up the rest of a drivers income. SX is different.

My point is I hope the riders and equipment are not owned by WSX, that’s a clear conflict of interest unless it’s simply a show and not a legitimate championship.
