Glad to hear the shooter was stopped by a responsible citizen before he could end many more lives.
Still sucks though that some people lost their lives and were also injured by the loony shooter.
Waiting for the live press conference in less than an hour for more updates.
That kid is a hero. No telling how many lives he saved. I'm just glad he got it done before the cops got there...I'd hate to be holding a gun in a "shooter" situation when LE arrives looking for someone with a gun
If more of this happened maybe these mental midgets who are out to inflict as much damage as possible would be deterred. Just my two cents, through out history evil has been stopped by good men willing to do evil deeds.

Killing a person is an evil deed in my book. Wether that person deserves it or not, taking a human life is inherently evil.
In the true "Christian" sense... you're 100% correct. But as a "humanist"...his act was for the greater good. The older I get...the more I question "God's Will".

I agree with you, it was justified and necessary to prevent further loss of human life. There is no question about that. That man did what carrying a firearm requires you to do in that situation and he did it well. There are many people who get to go hone to their families because of his heroism, I pray that what he did doesn’t haunt him because it was absolutely the correct and only action that could have been taken.

I’d respectfully disagree (sort of). I believe that if someone who IS evil (ie any of these mass killers) is killed by someone pure of mind/heart in their intent (ie stopping the killing of innocents), I don’t feel there’s anything evil there merely because they took a life.

That's the "humanist" view I was speaking of. Personally, and perhaps wrongly, I would have shot him like a rabid dog and slept like a baby. I'm probably going to hell or at least a slum in heaven.
In regards to the dude who smoked the shooter.
Police said he had no military service and had no LEO training.
Just by the scenario the police described at the presser in a nutshell... sounds to me he stayed pretty calm and clear headed as one should. He was also carrying under their constitutional carry law(no permit needed).
They also said he covered people in a sense so they could exit the area behind him.
He also found mall security afterwards and told them he was the one who smoked the shooter.

Constitutional carry has never been needed more than it is right now.

I agree.
We don't live in a civil society despite what people preach.
While the majority of us try to live our lives in a civil manner, there's a certain part of our society that doesn't want to live in a civil manner with us. It's like the old one bad apple ruins the bunch kinda thing.
And with that said, every able-body adult is responsible for their own personal security.
And not being able to have a fighting chance in hell and defend yourself,family,etc.. is irresponsible.
Armed civilians on scene have a faster response time than police.
Same shit, different day.
I remember a few years back there was a shooting on campus in Oregon or Washington...I don't remember. There were numerous people carrying but none drew iron. The news asked some of them why they hadn't tried to stop the shooter. They ALL said, "We were afraid the cops would mistake us for the shooter".
You have to admit...it's a real possibility. If you can get it done and drop your gun...probably safe. Otherwise, you're just someone on scene with a gun...be careful fellas.

Several of us carry a firearm at church. And it’s not used to make new converts.
Defending innocent people by stopping the threat with deadly force if required is completely acceptable.
What you are referring to are Christian pacifists. And yes that is a popular misconception, or misunderstanding of scripture.
The use of deadly force is allowed when warranted with scripture to back it up.
We can just look at righteous anger as one small example. Which is a good and God given thing. It is good to be angry when we see evil.
Christian Pacifists teach the opposite. That anger is to be avoided. We should live peacefully.
That’s simply not true and is not at all what scripture says.
Christian pacifism is taught in many churches, but a misconception it is.
Yes we are to be humble and live peacefully and love our brothers and sisters. But we are also to stand firm in our beliefs, and to be protectors of our families and communities. To be leaders in our homes and families.
Look bud...I ain't arguing with you. I'd do the same but don't go using the bible to justify anything. The old testament was written by and for Jews. All that stuff in red is for us gentiles. I'm pretty sure Jesus might have something to say about your interpretation.
The bottom line is...we can protect ourselves best we can or eat lead from every nutcase with a gun. God and Jesus are busy I guess.

It's all very confusing.
Jesus was the one who turned over the tables in righteous anger. That’s not my interpretation. That’s what it says.
If you don’t care, that’s fine. But you are making very wild and inaccurate generalizations.
Why not just say…”what I was taught is that Christian’s are to be pacifists”.
Not everyone is taught that or believes that. If you do fine.
