Hopefully the next update will fix all these minor issues
Personally i cant wait until xbox releases the damn patches tomorrow. because my game.. is ok, but way less than stellar in alot of ways.
Im giving them 3 patches to remedy my issues... After that if the game is still bad im just going to move back to pc moto games forever lol.
But i played the Supercross video game and hated it. was hoping some one can shine light if this is worth getting or not.
Ps plus has a demo of the game. Like 2 hours or something.
Like I said though. You’ll have to get used to it. But personally have been having a blast playing supercross online. Jump physics feel very nice. Usually at least 6-7 people per lobby when I wanna play online.
As mentioned previously it's a shame almost all these games now have a trend of making you go through so much guff to get to the meat... The trail races are actually very good imo but I really don't like being forced to race them in order to unlock more SX/MX tracks. Just let me race what I want.
The early bikes being garbage is another one I'm getting tired of going through. It's also obvious that the stock models are made to look as ghastly as possible in order to encourage dlc purchasing. Honestly some of them look ridiculous. But again, all in all, the core experience is good and thoroughly enjoyable imo. They do need to fix the AI though.
Anyone else struggling with SX? I feel like I cant hit a jump out of a corner to save my life. Feel like I have to slow down, square it up as best as I can and go from there.
Pit Row
Motor: left 3 (engine acceleration)
Clutch: right 3 (Shift speed)
Chassis: right 3 (flexible)
Suspension: right 3 (stiff)
Tracktion: left 2 (traction slip)
Brakes: left 3 (soft)
This was my final tuning which felt the best in SX and even in outdoors, for some outdoor tracks top speed instead of acceleration felt better, but not a big difference. The rest was pretty much set for me. Soft brakes really help to not overshoot corners and still keep some speed. Trust me guys, use your brakes, play with it, just a little brake tap before corners.
Let me know if you like it!
on to this one, i haven't tried it yet but will probably wait until it's a little more polished. one thing that i absolutely hate about these games though is the punishment you have to go through to get the bikes upgraded and unlock the tracks. first impressions are everything when it comes to video games, i don't know why these developers force you to play through shit before you can start enjoying it. i remember MX Unleashed when it came out and how much fun it was right out of the box. FORZA and other racing games are fun right when you start it up. Rainbow/Milestone need to take that approach i think.
The MX vs ATV series has had varying degrees of importance with the clutch in each game. But for me it has been instinct in all to hit the clutch for a bit of a boost ever since the first game and this game has a bigger boost than All Out ever did.
Also if used correctly can fix up a rhythm section if you stuffed up. Come up short / overjumped etc. Depending on momentum either seat bounce and clutch the peak of a jump as you're landing. Or if you land more on the face you can roll the jump and clutch it on down side to usually get enough boost to continue the section.
Even on a 125 2 stroke you can basically clear anything comfortably if done right. I've hit the 250 2 stroke now and ive had to resort to trying to scrub jumps or back off / tap breaks as the bike launches so far.
They absolutely need to fix the sounds. Everything but the 125 sounds inexcusably bad.
The career makes no sense. You get sponsors that give you ridiculous goals like “go off the track during the race” and from time to time you get new sponsor offers but it’s always two of the same four.
Why are we forced to race trails in a motocross career?
Why we racing 250 two strokes? I love two strokes but that doesn’t make any sense to be forced in the career.
Why can’t we set our bike up at the race?
What the heck happened to a two moto format?
Why can’t we customize the controls?
Why is the gyro effect so extreme?
Why are there Fasthouse pants and jerseys but no gloves?
The only answer I can think of to these questions that makes any sense is that they released an incomplete game. And I get it, sort of. But at least communicate to us that the game is going to get fixed/completed. Don’t just leave us in the dark not knowing if they even realize what’s missing in the game.
