Going on vacation in August to Glendale/Phoenix area. Where are the best places to ride around there? Any good tracks?

Sounds good! Will look into going to ACP on the way there maybe.

Honestly, I think all 3 tracks are pretty comparable now. The new owner at Motoland has done a lot of nice work and continues to make improvements to the tracks there. ACP has the best vet track, but for nationals all 3 (ACP, Motoland, and Canyon) are comparable IMO depending on the layout at the time you ride.

As JDawgg said, make sure you get there early, especially in August. In August, its prime monsoon season and the heat and humidity can make riding tough. Take lots and lots of water and plan on being done riding before 11 am.

If you can ride rocky peak right now in the heat, you can handle Arizona for sure.

The heat shouldn't be too bad since I'm used to 100+ heat in SoCal! lol

Born and raised in Southern Cal for the first 29 years of life.

Southern Cal heat is nothing compared to Arizona heat trust me on that one.

But yea if you're young and full of spunk getting on the road before sunrise is a must.

It's really a shame what has happened to Motocross and off road in Arizona as you really have to search or know the good trails.

Use to have about 10 great tracks and sadly most are gone. Angry

Yeah, riding in AZ in August sucks…

Also, with all of the development and additional vehicles from all the people moving to AZ, the air quality is all time bad. Phoenix is under a poor air quality warning pretty much 9 months out of the year now.
