Saw this on Craigs in Indiana and wondering if I should bite or pass.
Posted link but not sure if I've done it right so pasted ad wording below (3 pics, sorry couldn't post, )

Ad reads:
2016 Tm 100 bored out to a 110. The bike is for sale not locked up but the top end is blown. Still has compression but bike needs chain clutch lever front break lever redone and missing one frame bolt and 2 radiator bolts. 600 firm 2nd owner need gone

https://bloomington.craigslist.org/snw/d/bloomington-tm110/7483303067.h…

Looked at pics several times and assume ad is legitimate, but haven't contacted poster at this point.
I'm sure it needs gone through and parts won't be cheap but even if I spent several hundred $ still wouldn't have much in it.

Searched and didn't see any common issues with this unit, so assume it's not a hand grenade model.

I don't need another project but this one intrigues me.
As cool as TMs look, at that price I could live with it being a garage ornament.

A Vitard's brother is a TM dealer in Linton Indiana but don't remember his handle so maybe he'll see this and chime in.

If not for me maybe someone else would be interested.

Am not associated with poster in any way, just saw this and thought it was interesting.

What say you Vital jury?

Is it wrong when I read the thread title, this is what I thought? Old, that’s what I am.

What would you do with it? Ride it, or just have a cool TM to look at?

Either way..for $600 I’d go for it if I wanted it. You could get your money out of it if you changed your mind anyways

I’d check the vin for sure too to be safe

My first bike in 1976 was a 1975 TM75.

Thanks for the feedback.
Good advice to check if it's stolen.

Sorry, about the title snafu, wasn't thinking about the Japanese TM when I posted.

I remember when the RMs came out and Suzuki was practically giving away the TMs to get rid of stock.
Track where we raced was flooded with TMs.

Some guys bought the 250 and the 400 and would race both classes.
One guy would come off the track from the 250 moto and hop on the 400, which his buddy was warming up, and head down for the open class start.

Good times

I got passed the other day by a tm100 on my 450. Probably buy it. It hurt my feelings. They look like a small 125

Funny you should mention the KLX 140....
That thought crossed my mind as I have a 140L in the garage.

Considered fork swap and other upgrades in the past, but found KLX 230r with 4 hrs on it for $3600 (list is $4400).

I like the 230 but don't like the 50 lb weight difference (I know longer suspension and many other things)

Emailed poster with questions--we'll see what he says
