Jason,
I'd like to see you live up to your potential and I think you are probably a good kid. You could use some direction in your life.

What's in it for me? I dunno. I'd like to make a difference in your life and help you realize your dreams. I don't need much; just enough to pay my bills and feed my dog. Maybe you could decide what it's worth if you succeed.

You need to make some decisions very soon that will affect the rest of your life. Make the wrong ones and you will end up a nobody...just like me.

I met you at Hangtown this year and told you what you did for that privateer kid was cool; you probably don't remember. Honestly, that day changed my opinion of you.

You can take my offer or leave it. Understand one thing though, I am a stranger, willing to take a chance (and risk what little I do have) because I think you are a good person, just misguided. So keep that in mind before you laugh and ridicule me.

The right focus, accompanied with your proven talent, will put you on top of this sport.

Sincerely,
Chris

ps - Vital members...this isn't a joke so please keep the J-Law bashing down to 1 per user. Smile I know he reads these forums (or someone he knows, does.) This will be interesting! I feel like an idiot for posting this but I really believe in him.
You keep making the mistake of proclaiming his career over. I don't say that you are a good kid from a good family.

Well, you keep throwing insults at GuyB and I have always said that you are a "good kid from a good family". I'm sure there is someone who would say that about me.

I seriously don't understand people who feel obligated to defend that doucher waste of space. I guess it's because all his b.s. antics SEEM like "victimless crimes" but are they really?

If JLaw is riding around in 21st for 4 laps he obviously is injured.

Yet it's necessary to start a rumor of him being injured?

You are making some pretty heavy drug allegations. Do you have proof or are you just talking out of your ass?

How do you explain his 10 place finish at Redbud in moto two ? Was that just a fluke ?

Fluke? Is a tenth for JLaw, not even being able to catch Nick Wey, supposed to be some great performance? Something, possibly the injury he refers to seems to be holding him back.

I was being sarcastic . . . sort of.

I have no proof that he is struggling with substance abuse other than the fact that he continually underperforms.

What proof do you have that he is "injured"? You MUST have proof since you said he was "obviously injured".

Ridge I think maybe the bigger issue here is, what about doing something for YOU? You're not a "nobody" as you mentioned - thats not the right way to reflect on yourself. So what if you're not a professional motocrosser; the odds of that are so slim there is nothing to be ashamed of in that regard.

But if you ride, you're likely an athlete right? Maybe find something new to get into - adventure racing is all over and something new I'm looking into myself. I just attended a triathlon this weekend (for example). There are all kinds of athletic events to fulfill your needs so you're not so worried about what Jason Lawrence does with his, because in all reality, what he does, does not affect you one bit.

I only spoke up because I always found it odd when people live and die by how well their favorite sports team does. The reality of that is, typically their own life isn't satisfying, but you can change that.

My "proof" is that he says he is injured. If Reed says he is injured, he is injured. If Lawrence says he is injured, he is injured. I don't see how JLaw would benefit from making up an injury.

A 3 day meth binge will make a person not feel well. That's all I'm saying. I have no idea if he's abusing alcohol, marijuana, meth, or roofies but it could be all of them combined for all we know. Or none of them. Maybe it's the Man-Bear-Pig-Flu????

Regardless, he's a good kid from a good family.

Are you kidding me????? You don't see "how JLaw would benefit from making up an injury"????? ANY rider who consistently underperforms on the track stands to benefit a great deal from making up an injury. It's the safest way to deflect all personal responsibility and not be judged by it. IF he is faking an injury, he won't be the first and definitely won't be the last to do so.

What's lame, is that IF he really is struggling with substance abuse isues, people will judge him negatively for it. That IS an "injury" IMO and he MAY be struggling with that. If so, he needs help dealing with that. The negative stigma attached to SA is just one more reason for someone to fake some other medical problem.

The guys is facing 3-5 years in jail in 2 months. How motivated could you guys stay if you were in his shoes? Most of us on this board could not take top 10 at our local A class races but yet you rip on him?

Why do you keep going back the substance abuse thing. That is just something that you pulled out of your ass.

Hey Dr. Phil, Ridge was a former pro mx'er. Do a Google search on him, you may be suprised. I think he is looking at it from the point of view that his career was cut short due to injury, Jason's may be cut short due to personal issues.

Why do people always think it's valid to argue that people can't have an opinion unless they ride fast? LMAO!!!

That's like arguing that Donald Trump doesn't know anything about beauty since he's so damn ugly.

Your logic is epically flawed.

Nobody disputes J-law's ability to twist the throttle. Jesus Christ on a crutch!!!!

I'll take your word for it, but someone saying they're "sore" isn't exactly proof of an injury. He may be, but he MAY be lying too.

Anyways, he's a good kid from a good family and that's all I have to say about that.
