And I know what you mean about Pismo. haha, I've been going there for like 10 years and it gets old. But its not bad riding, unless its on the weekends or holidays. Im actually going up there in a couple of weeks.
Pismo is sweet...I have found some pretty fun jumps and have also followed some locals around to their jumps and have had a great time.
I am in the middle of moving back into a house in slo right now so I wont even have my dirtcycles til next week.
Sad, but true.
redrider.. I am down! i will keep you posted

Might want to try asking a couple of local bike shops, they may know of a few places.
You would have loved Santa Maria. Always had good turnouts, and when they didn't they would run three motos.
Practice was a blast, about as smooth and hooked as it gets, come first moto, the whoops on the straights would get so bad, it was hard to not down shift.
Last time I was there was in early eighties. Damn! that was a long time ago, seems like yesterday.

When are you guys going to Pismo? I'll be there Aug 7-9.
I hear there is a lot of riding in Central California on private tracks. LOTS of open area and people with huge ranches, etc. Start asking around at local shops and trying to meet other local riders. There are a few tracks/riding areas that i know of in SLO and also Paso Robles area. Doesn't Cal Poly have a motorcycle club? You shouls check into that Tryon...
Pit Row
did they finally close clear creek ?
its a calendar of all the races that AMP/GFI are putting on. The races at Los Banos are the ones that say Summercross Series. Hope this helps.
as far as private areas.. the girl i am seeing has family out near castillo ranch and there are some fuggggin bad ass places to ride but I am not realllly on the guest list(s). I will start asking around though.. where are there even shops around here?
socal is a piece of shit sometimes with its traffic and population, but whenever i remove myself from there i find out what its like to have to kinda go out of my way to do anything...
guess it makes it more worth it!!
thanks for all of your responses guys! hopefully we can all go out on the same day or days comin up!
