Wow, that’s very cheap. I was quoted over $45 to ship a seat from Ca to Midwest thru Fed-Ex and UPS.
Never heard of pirate ship before…

I've made my own boxes from larger boxes for odd sized items. Kind of a pain but not too hard to do.

I recommend checking out Pirate Ship if you ship much at all. It is completely free

I just shipped a handlebar and bar mounts for $10 UPS FL to TX

I have shipped two sets of forks in the last couple months, both FL to CA for about $60 each fully insured. Before insurance it is close to the price of your seat quote. Due to the size of the forks, there is a surcharge.

I will check that out. FedEx and UPS have gotten out of control and USPS is not worth dealing with either.

+1 for PirateShip
I use them a lot too. UPS ground is nearly 50% of the retail rate quote. Using the smallest box you possibly can is key though.
