The vast majority of Canadians are against this whole thing.
The EMA is only an issue because the cops didn’t do their job in the first place for whatever reason but no one wanted the convoy here. It massively disrupted lives and businesses and only helped break up the country making us weaker on the global scale.
Just emphasizing people need to get more involved through legal means if they feel they aren’t represented.
Protests are fine too, not occupations that hurt good people.

I never thought about my choice of avatar and that it might send the wrong message. To me, it's funny. He's a funny character from an old cartoon, Underdog. That's Baron von Sinister. I thought of him a few days ago, and why I changed.
Today, I thought "I wonder if people think that's a message that I mean to be a monster?"
So, I changed it to a happy face, because contrary to popular belief, I'm a pretty happy guy
Of course no one wanted the convoy there, nobody likes protests and disruption. Nobody wanted to go to Ottawa in February but sometimes sacrifices need to be made for the greater good. Nobody wanted to have their small businesses bankrupted, lose their jobs or be ostracized either but that didn’t stop it from happening, and still continuing.
If protests are fine, why did the police make arrests and bust these ones up? They were peaceful and they did not shut anything down, if anything was shut down it was by choice. How do you define this as a siege or occupation vs a protest? Because trucks were on the street? They did not block access from any public servants or emergency vehicles, they made a point of not impeding with law enforcement and rather working with them openly.
We’re witnessing the end of civil freedoms and liberties, good luck ever getting them back if they get away with it.
And what do you expect when you’re down there. Police have been super patient and overly gracious in warning people to get out.
Those with their kids down there, they’re like the taliban using kids as shields. Sorry it’s not right in a civil society.
Majority of Canadians are opposed to mandates in any form. I bet even more are opposed after the shit that has gone down the last week. You seem like you don’t like people reporting the truth.
That pisses me off....downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*downvote*

Ike pbs in America. PBS in America 🇺🇸 public finance equal to 10% of budget. The remaining must be funded via direct sales to viewers. CBC should adopt pbs structure. Likely never survive five months.
You go on to say that she deserved to be assaulted by the police for being in a public place, exercising her right to peacefully protest, because you don’t like them. Interesting take. If the cops did that to a black guy antagonizing them you’d be calling for their heads.
The cops were never in danger, threatened, assaulted, or any reason to use force against peaceful citizens. Defend that all you want.
To suggest that anyone was using their children as human shields is really getting ridiculous, you’ve got to be trolling to say something that stupid.
Pit Row
This was declared illegal prior to the EMA (which I’m not sure was necessary if police dealt with this in the first place) and police gave people time to leave and smoke warning.
Just because I don’t think rebel is legit News doesn’t mean I wish any harm to anyone, I really don’t. I truly believe we need to figure out how to get along and it would start with listening (on all sides).
We aren’t going to change each other’s minds.
I think we can agree on this though:
-We are both concerned about the state of the country we live in and want what we believe to be the best
-We should be able to have civil discussions around differing opinions
-putting people into corners on opposing sides isn’t healthy
I am busy but I wish we could shoot the shot over this. I’d be open to hearing what you have to say if you were as well. We won’t because we’re both likely too busy, just trying to clear the air, sorry if I’ve come off as disrespectful.
I think the real issue is income inequality and social media and most of us have more in common than we think. Government needs better representatives but that’s you and I who need to do that.
It made me wonder, though, have Canadian artists voiced their support of the protests?
