Will do my best to shorten a long story but I have had a rather tough year physically. After seeing specialists, It all seemed on track to be up and running by January. So, I took on an electrical job thinking I would be able to. I started the job last Friday and that day, my pain specialist called me to tell me he was referring me to a spine specialist as he was out of ideas. So the problem is still there but I was committed to do the job. With the help of some 800mg ibuprofen, I have made it to today. Prior to taking on this job, I was sedentary for about 5 months because of the back issues. So as you can imagine, at 68, jumping right back in to 10 hour days, I'm experiencing some body pains over and above the main issue. I noticed today that just about every other part of me hurt except my goddam feet. Thanks for the tip on the Keens.

Thanks for the update. I think a couple other guys suggested Keens too, they are just well built shoes from my experiences. I will probably always have a couple pair in my closet for the rest of my foreseeable days. I’ve only talked to a couple of people who have worn Keens that didn’t think they were the best shoes they have ever had, which isn’t too bad considering how many different foot types that there are out there! For me they would be a bargain at twice the cost, as a guy my size really puts a lot of stress on feet.

Glad that they worked for you!

BTW, I just picked up a bag of Granny Smiths. I know you think I'm crazy but I eat them for lunch with a V8. Awesome.

We had some family over for new years and one of the nephews brought his girlfriend. She had been having a lot of back problems and recently had artificial disks installed. She is in no pain now and living normally as I understand it.
Is that an option for you? Also, thanks for the reply on the router, I think you're much more advanced than I care to get right now.

It appears that some kind of surgery is all that's left. Waiting to hear from a new "specialist".
On the router, I am actually the opposite of advanced. I choose to use a home made concoction for a cad cam system because I'm too lazy to learn modern cad cam. I would not recommend my system to anyone.

I make beet juice to drink daily and always throw a granny Smith in there to help nock down the dirt flavor of the beets.

At the turn of the century the WSJ had an article on the invention of articial discs. Glad your nephew's girlfriend's life has improved.

Be good to know if any MX or off road racers have have gone back to racing after receviing artificial disc(s)
