Dylan got to SoCal on January 17th and rode the bike at Elsinore and then decided to go back home.
I think he realized he wasn’t ready after over 2 years of no racing and got scared plus he wasn’t in the best shape.
I don’t know which day he went home but he didn’t stay for a week.
I would have asked Julien on Saturday but he had a family emergency on the weekend and wasn’t able to be at the race.

I would love if he would try to get ready this year and maybe give it a try for the 450 west coast rounds next year, even as a privateer with some sponsors. He is marketable and he could do do some vlogs. People would like it.

It’s a bummer because Dylan has good ability on the bike, I thought he was exciting to watch around 2015/2018 and was doing good over in Aus.

Yes it seems strange..hes been really putting in with his riding lately, gets a a suspension guy out to the track to do testing and burns a million laps..we were thinking he is going to have a shot at the oz nationals this year..
I dont know him very well...but I have heard him question the point of giving it everything to be the best rider in OZ. Probably make more money doing a regular job....he's no dummy, he loves to ride but he knows there ismore to life than just that.
Still, just my opinion, just think he should put in the hard yards with diet and training and get back to the USA with time to put at least a couple of months in on real supercross tracks b4 having to race.
He really is super talented..he has insane corner speed..
If he did that, at least when he is old, he will have the comfort of knowing he gave it a real go in the big league..

I have no clue but with the other info around that bike and position I wonder if there is more to it than he wasn't fit... If Nick didn't feel comfortable on the bike until just now, id imagine it'd be even harder to feel comfortable on it after 2yrs off a sx track. Fitness obviously could play into his decision as well but I get the vibe that the bike needs some work as well and that doesn't lead to confidence and wanting to be that far from home risking it.

And thats a very good point...if you get hurt in the usa you could face medical bills that ruin your life. I went there 22 years ago and the only insurance I could afford ,only covered me to be patched up enough to get put on a plane and sent home..it was in my mind a lit while I was there..
