Help! I've replaced my clutch and installed a new inner hub into the basket but I'm the owners manual does not indicate the proper torque spect for this. I see was able to find the Rekluse hub is torque at 50ft-lbs, but this is an OEM inner hub. I was able to find that that the 2020 was has a torque spec of 58.

Any one by change have a service manual or know what the torque spec is for this?

As always, thanks is advance!

Well, in the absence of more info, I'd go with 58 ft-lb for now to get you going again. It's unlikely it's much different, it's an OEM spec, and it's not the lower Rekluse # (lower by 14%).

But I am sure someone here will chime in with the right # for your bike soon and then you can retorque if needed.

2021 CRF 450 service manual states 59 ft/lbs. Should be good for 2022. Don't think they did anything with the clutch.

Hey Meister,

Sorry for the delay. I tried the Rekluse RadiusCX and did not like it, so I put OEM clutch back in.

Now my bike is randomly stalling for NO reason all at (it was also stalling with Rekluse). It will start fine, then randomly stall on the stand then is difficult to start again. I just replaced the plug, went to a 9 from a 10 and it stalled it again. Frustrating to say the least as i Just NOW have 7hrs on it. I also thought it could be a bad batch of VP T4, but with new fuel, same issue. Just had Twisted do a remap, fingers crossed that will fix it. If not, I'll have to look into fuel filter and injector.... crazy. Scare to ride it now...

Since this is going in a few directions, what didn't you like about the Radius CX?

To preface, I had one on my '18 FC 450 and loved it! So I purchased one for my '22 Honda and it just felt completely different; almost like a small flywheel weight was added to the clutch. I tried different springs/wedges, and played with idle adjustment and just could not get it to my liking. Again, its a great clutch I just didn't "feel" it on this bike. I would highly recommend the clutch and their customer service was OUTSTANDING. Truly. They answered all my questions and worked with me anytime I needed assistance. Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for the info!

I'm in a similar boat. The Radius CX in my 2020 YZ450F works amazing. Light clutch pull, amazing performance, etc. In my 2008 CRF450R, however, the clutch pull is almost twice that of the YZ450F's. The performance is generally good, but it's just not quite as good.

In my other 2 bikes (another old 2008 CRF450R and a 2016 YZ250F), I have Core EXP 3.0s. Those seem to be a tad better in terms of performance consistency in my experience.

Thanks for the reply.

I had a rekluse in my 17 Honda as it came in it. I liked the way it felt so connected, but I hated how stiff the clutch pull was as I still liked to modulate my clutch. I don't feel the need to try one on my 21we.

As far as mapping issues, that's what it sounds like you have going on (or possibly a faulty injector from what I've read). I had mine dynos and cleaned up before I ever even rode it on a track. Been awesome so far 20 hours in on pump gas. Definitely in the top 3 bikes I've owned. I love it. Only "complaints" with the bike will be addressed by FC next week.
