Both disciplines involve hauling ass across the Desert but that is where the similarities end.
A Rally bike is not set up to race Baja. Most terrain they race in Rally is 'smooth' compared to the whooped out race courses in Baja, those giant Rally bikes would not be ideal for Baja at all.
Brabec spent some time racing in Baja before he went full Rally, he won the 250, 500 & 1000 all in the same year.
All that said, any of those top Rally guys would be able to step right into Baja racing and run at the pointy end of the pack without a doubt, they have alien level talents.
Riding a heavy ass rally bike on the silty, whooped out, beat down race courses in Baja sounds shitty as hell, I don't see any of the "big names" jumping on board with that.
I don't see how you do a true rally type race on a marked course...
SCORE needs the bigger teams to get interested again somehow. The full Team Green and the Factory Honda rivalries are missed to say the least
