Canada has quite a grassroots MX scene unlike the US. A lot of money is raised by fans every year to send the best team we can. We don't go high budget, but as is typical for Canadians we try our hardest using what we have at our disposal. The team we're sending is a good one and they'll do us proud by giving 100% effort.


If the US doesn't send a team, even if they're not there, whichever country wins the thing can still claim the title: just think of Chad Reed, Ivan T. or Andrew Short in the 450 Nats. this year- the winner is still champion even though other top guys are out. There's the old saying: you can't call yourself the best if you don't show up for the race. I really hope you guys do get a team though.


And the comments about the health care system: I'd rather have a mediocre healthcare system that is free to everybody than a mediocre one that nobody but the rich can afford!

Wilson could race for GB, but has chosen to race for Canada since he's a citizen here.

BTW, with the shape of the 450 class in the states right now, I wouldn't be too arrogant. Who would you send? Short, Tedesco, and Ricky Dietrich? They'd be very lucky to win the des nations. France would probably clean your clocks.
