I purchased an 89 cr250 about a month ago and started going through it. Unfortunately when I pulled the cylinder and piston I found that the crank rod had some up and down play and what seems like excessive side to side movement. I think I am going to just try to keep the bike and get it fixed instead of buying another used one so at least I will know what I have then. Where would be the best place to send my engine to for a bottom end rebuild? Thanks

I would split the cases myself and send the crank for a rebuild by Crank Works or similar company. There should be tutorials on bottom end rebuild on YouTube. Good luck.

I have spoken with Eric Gore Racing and I think I am going to send it to him to go through so I know that everything will be good to go and not have to worry about anything. Has anyone sent anything to them before or have any feedback about them?

Look into TMR.. Tom Morgan. 100% professional and many satisfied customers, including myself.
