it's great to see a guy that has been around the sport for so long winning. He has put in years of hard work and recovered from multiple injuries to get there. Why can't people just be happy for him instead of asking "What if James had showed up? What if Kdub were to ride?" James and Kdub aren't riding and IT earned his victory.

In more ways than one in my opinion!
IT will win more this year... no doubt... and he deserves it. Hell, anyone that can win deserves it. He put in the laps and the time training and he is the benefactor of some of the other riders' missteps... If he wins the Cship, does it deserve an asterisks? Hell no! He won it straight up...

TXmx... the type of confidence you talked about will last until he gets smoked by some of his rivals that are on the sidelines right now. confidence plays a huge role, but IT just isn't on the same level. Like I posted earlier, he knows where he stands with those other guys. Maybe if he was one or two seconds off the pace, he could make that up. But no one is going to catch those top guys.

the reason I say confidence is that he's been close before. I agree he's been way off, but I think he's got the skills to be in the hunt for podium both indoors and outdoors.

I am not really a fan of Tedesco's my daughter thinks he's hot though. The time our paths crossed at Pro Circuit, he was kinda of an arrogant guy. Maybe things have changed since his results have gone down since his PC days. Like others have said, he was the fastest that day, he won the race period. Does that mean he should be talked about as a MXdN guy? I don't think so, not yet anyway, it was one overall win. Props to him on that, lets see if he can back it up before we start crowning the guy a champ in the 450 class.

The real important point you guys are missing is....the bonus checks for winning are still the same no matter who is out there. And that is a lot of scratch!

Just to make sure I'm on the right VitalPage here: When James goes 24-0, we bitch because there's no racing. And when we're five races into the current season with four different winners, we bitch because there is racing? I need to know what exactly I'm supposed to be bitching about.

Glade to see someone unexpected having a great race.

Tedesco looked like garbage at Glen Helen and I wrote him and his career off.

Personally, I would LOVE to see Short win the championship because in five years nobody will ever remember Andrew. Short is always there in the mix...

How many people in the class right now have an outdoor championship besides Tedesco?
6/30/2009 8:04pm
Some of you guy's give too much credit to the guy's that "aren't there"

Tedesco was the next best in the business when RC and James were dropping Reed by 30 seconds.

He was edging Reed in heat races and holeshotting mains.

4th that year overall and then some shit.

Now he could put a roll together in his own goddamned "era"

I say go fucking win it Hot Sauce.

If Reed or Short or Ivan goes 1-1 at Red Bud....we got a rider who's sayin' "YOU GUY"S CAN'T BEAT ME!"

Who's it gonna be?

Right now it's Tedesco......

Not taking anything away from the guys running right now, but the 450 class is pretty weak. Granted, they have stayed healthy and are actually out there racing, so bravo to them. But no one can jump up and down saying this is the best season... by any stretch.

What we needed was a dark horse privateer to come up. Gavin or Cody, those guys ran so good for about a year each. If one of them had peaked this year, a privateer champ could have been a pipe dream. As it is now, the 250 class has all the talent.
These are the best riders the USA can produce. The combination of Stewart, Windham retiring from the sport of motocross and the attrition of the injuries (hepler, millsaps, villipoto, alessi) does not bring down the human aspect of going out and winning a AMA Pro National. This is the first MX season in 6 years that I have enjoyed.

did you enjoy the battle between Hahn and Short?

That was good racing.

Lot of disrespecting the guys that are out there making it happen. Everyone wants RC and Bubba to battle every weekend. Get over it. They aren't out there.

Would IT or Reed or MA be on top if James was there? Not likely...but, it is what it is. And those guys are still faster as hell.

But Hahn and Short would have battled had the other guys been there, of course it would have been for like 7th and 8th..

I'm not arguing that the guys aren't fast... or that they are worthy of a championship...

All I am saying is that it isn't the same level. That's not being disrespectful. Those guys aren't dumb. They know whats up.
Who ever wins the title is worthy of the title. You have to be there at the end to win. Ask JS, Alessi, or RC.

Not exactly, I asked him to move his truck cause it was blocking the door of the building I was working in. Came off as if I was asking him for a million dollars. Waited 15 minutes for him to finish bs'ing with whoever before he moved it. Mitch moved his van quicker than Ivan moved his truck.

It amazes me how some of you forget that Ivan has won 3 titles in the 250 class. (I refuse to say "lites") I have watched Ivan struggle since moving up like the rest of you and wondered if he was ever going to make it too but come on. He has titles, skill, determination and good equipment under him. As long as his head is in the right place he should be winning. Let's give credit where it's due guys. I'm not saying he is the title favorite all of the sudden but I do think he is capable of winning it this year or any other. How about we not only give credit where it is due but also the respect ALL of those guys deserve. They are all faster than you.
