point proven.

what jlaw does is his own business. doesn't negate the fact that he's far more talented than your vicarious obsession. it was just odd that in your honest advice for Mike you had to include a slam on jlaw for no reason - well there is a reason. It's called basic psychology for a bitter drunk guy living vicariously through someone else. your post was a good point until you decided to be a "fuckass."

Mike could be fast in SX if he practiced it, he only practiced it once a week. The kid is loaded with talent, but for obvious reasons is being held back.

Tony has been doing what he thought was best for Mike, not knowing he is hurting more then helping. Tony should have let Honda take Mike and took Jeff under his wing, but it didnt happen. I still believe that if Tony wouldnty have gone with the KTM money and let Honda take Mike, Tedesco has one less number one plate hanging. Stanton and Kehoe could have made him a champ.

the best thing Tony could do right now is turn mike over to someone like Omara (who wont deal with Tony) or Ryno, and just sit back and collect his money from Alessi Racing.

Not that I am anyone important, but I tried giving Tony advice, Vuelliman tried and Hughes in a round about way tried, just to have Tony Bulk.

A little birdie at Suzuki told me that mike better do something about it or he just might be looking at the GPs to get a ride.

The Racing is better when both contenders are on the track. Let's not get lost in BS. Both are fast, and when on the track racing, it's a lot more fun than when either is not present.

Completely different situations, no matter how you dice it, it sucks as fans to have a fast racer off the track for any reason. Flame on.....

When Mike was winning all of this was a non issue.

time off, heal up correctly, come back for a few races at the end of the series and lay waste to the comp. set fastest laptime and just win baby. Then set your sights on SX, don't listen to the folks that tell you you can't win or be damn good in SX because it is fucking bullshit...because you have shown you can and you have shown you have the skills.

I can't believe the sequence of events leading up to this point or even the last few years of Mikes career. It still baffles me that a dope smoking jackoff like Jason Lawrence has one more title than Mike does at this point in time. Afuckingmazing imho....

Agreed. Where is all J-Laws "talent". Haven't seen much of it lately.

Mikey was hauling ass last year and had 2nd sewed up in the championship. This year he was the guy to beat and was probably on his way to that 450 title. the fact is that he blew 2 seasons and it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't last the season.

Mike didn't blow anything. He was injuried, that's it, end of story.

Agree with the first part of your post but the second about J. Lawrence is looking like your fishing. Want to bite but just can't. Shit here I go> The kid needs some help but I would think he'll return one day and try again. Just to much talent to go out the way he has. Just my thoughts. > Guess I ended up on the end of the line. LOL
Tony raised a couple of AWESOME motocross riders.

He must have done several things right.

How can anyone who rides say that Mike threw away the season? Accidents happen. who's to say he would have won out the rest of the year anyway. People are to quick to give the championship away. No one thought Reed would get beat straight up by Tedesco last weekend.

With all the things Mike is doing right, somewhere he's doing something wrong to have blown 2 seasons in a row.

It's gonna hurt him come contract time.

Tony's tactics worked in the am's, and it's hard to argue Tony didn't get his boys the best rides back then. He also had a lot of pull in the am's and it paid off.

But Mike is supposed to be riding for Suzuki now. It's unbelievable a pro team allowed him to race in that condition. And why did they allow grip tape on that bike?

If Tony has enough pull in the Suzuki semi to get a factory bike under an injured racer - then maybe the problem isn't all Tony ......
I agree. I'm sure that there was a lot of discussion regarding the soundness of Mike racing last weekend. That was a small picture move and makes Suzuki a little ridiculous for endorsing it.

The big picture would have been to heal up and comeback. RC, Bubba, RV, etc have punted a season to do so and still earned Championships. Mike shows that he has Championship speed. His time is coming.

Sorry Jim, but the only place Mike has been competitive on an SX track is between the gate and the first turn. By competitive, I mean running top 5 speed. I don't really understand it, he can fly outdoors, but he seems to get passed on just about any part of an SX track. Whoops, corners, triples, rhythms. Maybe it's all confidence, but at this point his career, I don't see it getting a lot better.

Reminds me of Albee and few other guys that just seemed to be a different rider between SX and MX.

As far as never say never, if you were writing contracts for factory guys, I doubt you'd be looking at Mike for an SX deal. There are atleast 10 guys you'd want on a 450 in SX (2, 7, 8, 9, 18, 22, RD, CP, Hill, Grant, JL(?)) ahead of him. If he didn't seem to have such a strong upside in MX, he'd be struggling as bad as Jeff to get a solid ride.

But, Bobby can dream and I've been wrong before.

I am not saying he is on top of his game right now when it comes to supercross but he's young and things can change.

no doubt things can change. I really know nothing of his training program referring to Bob's and Uptite's comments, but I just don't see him as being comfortable on an SX track.

Based on his MX performance last year and this year, I think he works as hard or harder than anyone.

I wish him all the best and mostly just get healthy and show us what he's got on the track. Same thing I hope for all the racers.
