2003 Honda CRF450R Cutting out at WOT.

What was done to the bike-
Shimmed the valves
Installed New Spark Plug
Installed new Header gasket
Cleaned and Rebuilt the Keihin Carburetor to include replacing the mid gasket.

Issue that I'm trying to resolve-
The bike is cutting out or stuttering at higher RPM. Does the stuttering when on the stand and when riding. Seems like it Isnt getting fuel at higher RPM.

Stuff I've done to remediate the issue-
Checked the carb and verified everything was put back correctly.
Checked the timing and verified valve clearance.
Moved the needle down a notch to see if anything would change.
Removed and reinstalled the Air Screw making sure to put Spring, Washer, O-ring in the correct order.

Bike ran fine before the maintenance. Currently it idles fine and runs fine from bottom to mid range but as soon as you get on the throttle the bike seems to stutter like it was on the limiter.

Are you sure the carb's slide plate isn't in upside down? I've seen that cause a lot of issues.

Slide plates in correct. I’m going to measure the float height and hopefully that fixes the issue.

Set the float height to 8mm and changed the jets back to the original ones. Still the same issue.

Check your stator as they have been known to go bad and do exactly what yours is doing.

It looks like the air jet in the rear bell of the carb.

It was the replacement jet from the rebuild kit being a lot smaller. The jet out of the All balls kit was a 72 the jet that it had was an 84. Should of checked the numbers before installing but at least I know next time.

Go to JD JETTING for jet kits. They won’t steer you wrong. Best customer service out there.
