Will he be at the opening National? Or later in the series? Anyone know the plan?

I don't know squat other than I saw he raced the AQ at Fox Raceway last w/e. Thus I was under the impression he's doing Loretta's this year and will probably turn pro the week after. But again, I know nothing.

If he remains an amateur it will be a travesty. Everyone know he can win every moto at that level and already has.I don't know who's decision it is but another year as an amateur at his age is a joke. I think this kid is special and is more than ready to compete as a pro NOW

They had an interview with him come out today. He said he is definitely racing loretta's. He said they are not sure if he is doing any national races before, but he is racing LL and doing the last 5 nationals. I know we don't know what all goes on behind the closed door but this makes no sense to me. What does this dude have left to prove at LL? If he doesn't crash he will win. He has raced all the other top amatur guys and beat them consistently.

He got beat by Luke Kalatzian both motos in Open Pro Sport last weekend, so it's not like he's cherry picking in the amateurs. Might have been 450 vs 250, but regardless, he's not a lock to sweep Lorettas.

Yup, will be 21 in FEB2022 when he debuts in SX - RD RC JS CR RV were already 450SX/MX champions at that age but if it work$ out for kitchen that's fine. At 21 I was already banged up, retired and scared of riding SX.

Comparing him to the greatest names the sport has ever seen isn’t exactly fair haha

He has only been back on the bike a few weeks after a broke hand. My
Guess would still be that he dominates Lorettas.

Hope they are going to keep him in AM. Yamaha will already sweep most of the podiums this year.

Saw that kid on a 1990-something CR250 at an area qualifier in Utah ripping.

He may be good but feels like there's a little bit of overhype. The guys he grew up racing have raced multiple pro seasons and some have already won. So I don't see how he's the next great amateur.

Flip side could be that he proves staying amateur longer helps these kids develop more and gives them a stronger trajectory.

Hes a smart kid with a good head on his shoulders from what I hear. He's a local so we have a few mutual acquaintances. From what I have gathered he didn't really take Moto seriously until the last few seasons, I think its a smart idea to do what he is doing, and maybe he is prolonging his career by doing so.

He never trained until after he graduated high school. He was a weekend warrior and people kept telling him that if he took it seriously he could go pro. He gave it a shot and moved down to Louisiana to train and he really put in the work.

Its obvious he feels he's not ready to go pro yet.

And Luke was/is on a very, very stock'ish bike. If he got the support the Star boys do he'd be a lot more prepared.

Oh and he also went 1-1 in college and 2-2 in 250 Pro on a '93 CR 250. I really wanted to take it out of the van on Friday at the house before the race to rip it up the street. That bike is sweet.

Do you have pictures of the 93? I looked at his Instagram but he rarely post.
Would be cool to race this bike at Loretta’s

No, but I might be going over there Friday morning so if I do I'll grab some pics.
