I’m looking for something moto/outdoor/tool related for my old man for his birthday. Typically I go with new set of tires, parts such as brakes, oil, chain lube, basically stuff I know he needs and uses.

I’d like to go a different route this year. Something.... different I guess? He’s not into technology or anything. Basically he likes dirt bikes, outdoors, and working on his classic cars and dirt bikes. The problem is he’s a guy with everything. So if it’s a traditional idea, he’s probably got it.

You guys got any cool ideas?

Search for a jersey or other display piece for a rider/brand/team he likes to put in the garage as a conversation piece?

Check out the "Metal Artwork" thread. There was a link to a guy in there that made some pretty cool stuff. I liked that steampunk metal moto related artwork he was doing. Maybe something for the shop walls or shelves??

Great idea, it’s something I’d definitely like. But he really doesn’t care about the pro racing side of dirt bikes. He probably couldn’t name any current riders outside of maybe Tomac and that’s only because my 7 year old talks about him all the time.

He’s an old timer who thinks a 125 is the greatest bike ever made. I’ve been trying to get him to bump up to a 300 for years. He refuses to even entertain the idea.

One in the bazaar for a nice $12k.

Such nice bikes but so damn expensive, whether it’s an AF or steelie. Engines alone are always over $4k and no one makes them anymore.

How about a new gun? No matter how many you got, there is always something cool you dont. Or ammo. Its expensive and in short supply, but if its a gift he might be more likely to go use it up instead of keeping it in backstock.

A gun is a good idea. I bought him a Glock 43 for his birthday a few years ago. He carries it on him every day.

One of his best friends own an ammo business. He gets cases (yes cases, not boxes Silly ) of “test” ammo for free.

A nice lift stand with those foot peg mounts that you can secure the bike to when the suspension is off. I mean that’s what I want haha

It's a silly thought, but here goes..... Since he loves 125's so much, see if you could possibly find one that the two of you could restore together. Maybe one from the 90's, 80's..... tickle his ear to name a few of his fav's. Start looking for one of those models, if parts can be had. Maybe you could find a Craigslist diamond in the rough he could have built just the way he would want. Then, as time passes, you could surprise him with goodies for it as it's being built. Built a few things with my Dad over the years, it's the best!

Fresh goggles. If I could have brand-new goggles every time I ride, my life would be complete.
