Can’t find any info in the owners manual or online. I see what looks like a cover for an oil screen on the left case but can’t tell if it’s designed to be serviceable like the YZ250F.

There should be one that’s easily serviceable below the flywheel. Just take the cover off and you’ll see. There’s another cylindrical oil screen that you need to split the cases to access.

Looking at pics online, the 250 now has the same access for the scavange screen. On the 450s Kawasaki moved out from under the flywheel to right behind the stator cover with 1 bolt holding it on. Owners manual made no mention of it and I found it when an oring went bad on my 16 kx450. Picture is screen locations for the current gen 450, but the scavange screen looks to be in the same place based on internet images i can see.

Thanks for the reply and info. This helps a lot. I don’t understand why it’s not mentioned in the owners manual. I might need to invest in a service manual.

Service manuals are always a good investment in your high dollar ride. I can remember bad in the day when the new bike was well under $1,000 but the service manual cost a few hundred dollars if you could get one at all. In todays world with the bikes running at $10,000 and the manuals are only $50 or so and could save you thousands in repairs cost..

Having to split the cases to get to the screen would not be easily serviceable for sure
