First of all I just want to thank all the people who support me.
Mom and Dad
My Grandparents
Foothills motorsports
Just1
Forma Boots
Guts seats
PNG nutrition
The entire Arrowhead engineering group (all balls, supersprox, pivot works, etc)
In my short riding career I’ve mainly rode 2 strokes, until when seals started popping up on the 19 kx450 where they where cheap enough where I could round up enough money by selling my 03 cr250 and 02 cr125. After about 160 hours on the 19 kx450 I’ve come to the conclusion that is just a tad heavy for the Gncc races at my current skill level, and I wanted something more durable. I wasn’t too impressed with the build quality of the Kawasaki. That being said I looked for another but it’s hard to justify paying 3k more for the same bike just a year after you got the first. Thanks COVID.
That brings me to the yz250. A proven platform, great suspension, and great build quality. They don’t make em like they used to which I believe is one of the perks of it being unchanged since 06. And where I’m at in my riding I need consistent seat time and for that to happen I need a dead reliable bike. And did I mention it’s a TWO STROKE!
As far as the build goes right now it’s not going to be too impressive. I’m a 19 year old college student so I don’t really work till the summer and if I want anything trick I gotta pay up. Anyways here’s a sneak peak, I picked up the 250 today and will pick up the 250x whenever it gets delivered. Enjoy!

Good stopping point for tonight. So far here is the to do list:
Grease and torque everything
Henry/Reed pro taper evos
Arc levers (scored a pretty trick factory setup off eBay with multiple billet levers, and just a normal memlon front brake lever.
Supersprox sprockets and a u-ring chain (really excited to try one of these out)
Tires (mx3s front Pirelli mx32 rear)
Springs (thank you to Jeff hill at hills performance)
Guts seat cover (obviously a must)
Works connection skid plate
Icw braced radiators
And some numbers
Obviously it’s pretty bland but I’m really wanting to get a good feel of the stock bike.
As far as the woods bike goes the it will get the same treatment as the 250 but it will get some Michelin’s (Gncc contingency), a blue zip ty tank with dry break, and hopefully a mako360 bar mount.
here is my 2019 X , it is truly a great bike, I have owned over 50 bikes, 2 and 4 stroke, new and old
so many possibilities!

roads, great on the track also, Prefer the 18 inch rear tires over the 19's anyway!Always have!
I'm an old-school guy who doesn't normally like black rims, but on your bike they look perfect.
Nicely done!
I am a old guy, race a RM465 in vintage mx
I am a diehard Yamaha guy, do not like the blue colored bikes, or rims
Yamaha should offer white/ red bikes
the blue crew marketing crap sucks
The other pretty cool part I got in was for the 250x. A dry break cap. Ims makes some rubber deal which is kinda cheesy but this one has a handle to pull it out and seems to be easier to put back on. It was only 45 bucks shipped to my door so if any of you guys want one hit up jay at modified machine works via his email. modifiedmachineworks@gmail.com
After I got done nerding out over the levers and dry break cap I got inspired by sx today to do a “factory” wire tie job. Looks kinda cool with the carb hose on it.
As far as more parts go I got one of the works connection skid plates and I’m not too pumped on it. Being on the east coast I take the skid plate off every time I wash it, and the work connection skid plate in stock form looks to be make to out on and left there. I had to cut it up a bit (thankfully it’s plastic) and the 2 8mm head bolts are right behind the pipe so you can’t get to em with a t handle.
Other than that I got the radiators back from icw Thursday. I can speak highly enough of Brent (I think that’s his name) from icw. I live just south of Greenville sc and I shipped them out Monday afternoon with cash in the box, and the braces beauties showed up Thursday afternoon. he doesn’t help me out or anything he just runs a really efficient, fast turnaround business. Not to mention baring your bike being dropped from a sky scraper of being run over by a tank you will not bend these radiators.
Other than that I threw on a guts seat cover, supersprox sprockets, some springs I got from Jeff hill at hills performance and a N3EW needle in it and she’s ready to go.
About a week ago I posted on the Gncc face book group that I was looking for a zip ty spec tank for the yz250/125 and I ended up finding a guy who had one and a bunch of Yamaha parts. He has 2 kids who are fast Gncc guys and they rode for am pro Yamaha about 2 years ago and he had a fair share of stuff. I ended up getting about 8-9 chain sliders, the tank, a pipe, a new rear rim, 2 chain guides, a gytr clutch hub and basket, rekluse cover, a few brand new take off maxxis tires, and more oem parts than I could point a stick at. Here are some pictures I started trying to organize it tonight and this is the stopping point I got to.
