i've had 3 sets in our cargo trailer for 6 months. i dont have to body weight the bike, i can just lean it to one side, lock it, then pull/lean to the other side, and get it plenty tight enough to be secure. where it's grabbing the bike, the pegs vs say the bars with straps, it doesnt need to be under near as much tension as you'd think.
Great ! Thank you ! Sounds like i am gonna get one of these in the next few weeks

Yeah I just lay my stomach on the bike and push both down. I get so many wows at the track every time someone watches me load in the van.

I noticed you have the gas cans they sell. Think 3 gal cans? How do they work? Tried to order them, would not ship to California.

It's the best for vans! No ducking straps to get around.

How did you mount you lock n load? I have a 2021 transit on the way. Is your floor a floating floor? I planned to have a floating floor with 2 layers minicell, then birch wood and vinyl all glued down. Trying to figure out the best way to then mount a lock n load. Also worried with the forces it’ll get if it will make the van metal raw and rust out where the bolts go through.

Has anyone used a L-L to transport a vintage street bike? I’m getting ready to go on the road and want to use the same system for my rd400 and kx250. I really like the idea of no straps.

In most states You can not call them gas cans because they do not have the annoying BS to keep fumes from escaping like they have added to all gas cans.  Cali is more strict on closing that loophole.

I've been selling Risk products for a while now and have sold the lock and loads, starting gates and Gascans with the mounts. And the 5 gallon  cans fit perfectly in a Ford Transit van by the wheel well .  I made a full coverage graphic kit for them too that I've done for a couple customers. The cans and mounts are awesome, You can lock them with a padlock . They go in and out of the mounts pretty easily as long as You mount them so You have enough room to angle the can to put it into the mount. My customers love them.  So far its been all people with Moto vans or enclosed trailers that use them. You could use the mounts in the bed of a pick up too if You did not mind drilling holes in it.

This was a concept rendering I made up. I have real photos of it someplace. I've been waiting a while to really put it out there as a product. I want to have the few customers that have them , use them for a while and see if they have any issues. I did not vent the decals at all so I want to know if there are bubbling or any issues like that. The customer I made these for has had them in use for   about a year or so now. He stores his gas in metal VP cans and only has gas in the risk cans on days he is riding. So far no issues with bubbling. But I have another couple customers testing in other conditions  still.image-20240502195002-1

I have the Lock-N-Load and it works both straight with my MX bike and on an angle to fit my longer dualsport in the space. I have the gas can with the snap in holder too.

If they hold up and you end up putting these into production let me know.
