I’m after a Vortex Ignition + mapping for my 2019 250SXF. Bike is bone stock, located in Sydney Australia.

Just after some collective wisdom from you guys as how to order, process etc. I tried emailing but no response yet so I assume there flat out, I’m in no massive rush, don’t want to be a pest.

It does look like I can order online through the store for what I want, hoping to go click and pay and wait for it to arrive on my doorstep here in Aus.

On there website it says Vortex X10 ECU with maps for $USD 950.

Here is a buy it now setup if you have a stock bike and just want to get the order processed. Please send us all your details in the notes so we can get your order started. Please see mapping process link.

Would that include custom TD mapping along with the Vortex, or is this just for the Vortex alone?

How long is the wait approx? With a stock bike I would assume they would have pre done maps to quickly load in and post.

If it’s as simple as going click order and throw in a few notes I’d go for it without waiting for a reply email.

Thanks Guys

Hey im from australia, i ordered one late last year from them. I called them but they were out of stock of ecu’s. They wrote down my email and When they came back into stock, the lady emailed me and we just organised it through that. Once i paid, it took less then a week to arrive. Crazy fast. Their have great customer service etc. i think they just get smashed with emails etc because their such a popular company.... i think the wait time on vortex ecu’s is 6-8 weeks so it’s probably best to call them to put one on hold. Make sure specify what fuel/mods your bike has aswell.

Why not just buy from Aus, plenty of decent engine builders here to map it. Plus by the time you ship it here and factor in exchange rate it’s going to be $$

Thanks for the Info JB. I’ll reserve one and hide the money, otherwise I’ll probably end spending that money on an exhaust, which sounds like a waste of money in comparison.

Who has vortex programing in Australia? Ive talked like 3 companys and noone has the ability to tune them besides the vortex owner.

A slight concern is the fuel differences. We even use a different “rating” system in Australia.
If you say “a map for 98 octane PULP” it might mean nothing, or something different to TD.

Buying from the Aussie manufacturer, you will get maps for Australian fuel.
Give them a call, ask about their maps v TD maps. Potentially they work together (manufacturer/user)
I know vortex put a lot of effort in their maps. They can be tweaked with the tuning dials, or remapped by anyone with the software. I believe.

So.... wait 6-8 weeks for an ECU to ship from Austrailia to US, then have it flashed and ship back to Aus?

Send Vortex an email. The guy (I think his name is Richard) replied to my emails in the past.
