I've seen multiple high-quality helmets with great safety features. But it brings the question: Which one is the safest? I feel that the 6d ATR-2 and Fly Formula are the safest of the bunch.

You feel, well if we are talking about feelings, I feel the TLD helmets are the best. Safest is a weird word.

Sure wish they had helmets like these when I was growing up. I’d be a lot less dumber than I am now , maybe ?? Concussion suck !! That’s the same helmet that I bought , haven’t crash tested it yet.

There is no proof, no amount of guessing, no amount of anything that can prove the safety of a dirt bike helmet.

No matter what they say, it's like motor oil, sales gimmicks and speculation.

The testing isn't done for dirt bike crashes, until 6D supposedly did rotational force studies when they invented the thin rubber bullshit liners. Those stupid rubber buttons/discs can do shit IMO.

The hard shell is to keep something from piercing your head and the joke of a Styrofoam liner is laughable except the first time you hit it it smashes and slows the hit from causing two or more brain rattles beyond the first which can and will cause concusssions.

Some have said they cant be made safer until the size increases and can't be increased much more due to stress on neck or fear of being if you can grasp this being ugly and unsellable.

Shoei and Arai told me after 3 3 grade concussions in our 600.00- 800.00 helmets that in our case long hair and tight helmet fit is more important.

Been there, done that, had new helmets every year from 200.00 to 800.00.

Let your common sense shine, little rubber discs ok? Harder softer shell ok? hell sizes ok?

Pretty shitty of the pussy helmet manufactures to refuse comparisons, do tests in real worls motorcycle crashes other than anvil tests and curb hits. After all these years they are still hiding from us.

How do you recommend these real world motorcycle crash tests happen?

The reason you test in a lab is so you can have the same impact across designs and see what design works better...you can’t do that with variable crashes in the “real world”.
