Hi

I’m having problems with my husqvarna which has only done 10 hours.

I’ve just changed the oil(advised to use 10w-40) cleaned air filter. Started it up and it’s kicking out a huge amount of smoke and bunging out.

I’ve just bought the bike and it has run fine for the past 2 hours. And I put 800ml of transmission oil in. I’m not worried I’ve put the wrong oil in or...

The oil that came out was dark and thick, which did raise some concerns. What do we think it could be people

Thanks in advance

Gear oil should have nothing to do with how the engine runt. Cleaned air filter? Is it drenched in air filter oil?

Is it a te250i? (Injection)

Hi

I it’s a tc250 with a carb on it. When I took the air filter out it’s was unbelievably dirty and too sticky so I gave it 3 cycles of cleaning with and airfilter cleaner kit untill all the silt had been removed.

I could have possibly put the air filter in too soon. If there’s any moisture in the air filter would this result in the bike smoking? I was suspicious of this so it’s been out to dry with a blower on it through the night

Thanks
Seb

change your air filter or at least check it every ride also check air boot every ride. Doesn’t hurt to coat the inside of the air boot with a light coat of air filter oil so if anything sneeks past the air filter it might stick the the oil in the boot instead of falling into your carb.

one day my bike just started to run extremely rich..
It was the o-ring inside the carb.
JD jetting has a better o-ring than stock.

Didn't you forget to remove some paper or rag that you did put into the airbox/boot/carb? 😉
