Have a Husqvarna Fc450 Rockstar edition been working fine went to ride it today and hit start button nothing. Ground is good, switched battery with another bike nothing. Even switched the start switch with another husky and still noting not even trying anything like no power to it. By passed the relay with a wire and the starter turned over. If you bump start it fires up, I don’t even here the normal hum or click when you touch the start button. I’m try to fine my ohm meter and test things tomorrow just curious if anyone else has had a issue and found out, I’m leaning toward a bad starting relay as of now may pull one from another bike and see if it hits.

Bad starter relay or dirty ground in the system will cause this.

Check your start button lead where it connects behind the number plate. Mine was corroded and breaking contact. I wouldn't expect that with your bikes low hours but you never know. Maybe try a jumper wire to see if your start button is good.

I saw no corrosion and plus I did swap out of another start switch and plugged it in so I’m hoping that cancels that out.

I raced weekend before last and it was a mud fest but no issues at track. I cleaned it all up and really scrubbed on it, I don’t use a pressure washer anymore cause issue I had with a Honda and I always use my air compressor to blow the water away. All the rain closed lot of tracks down till Sunday and I had to work so today I went out, not sure why my relay would go bad? The ground looked good I took it off and check all that seemed all good. I wonder if a meter would tell me if I was getting a bad ground

This happened to mine - I hear it happens a lot. The looped black wires (which aren’t even necessary) have been known to come loose.

We swapped relay from my brothers husky and still no go. Tomorrow I will pull grounds off again and scuff frame for better connection and go from there

The continuity feature on a volt meter can tell you if your ground is good or bad

I have a volt meter someone gave me couple years ago with lot of different settings that I’ll try to figure out and try. We even built a jumper wire and by passed starter relay and it cranked but swapped out starter rely and same issue. Got to be just something I’m missing. Appreciate these ideas and I’ll try them after work

Also the bike runs without the button working just have to bump start it so I don’t if that narrows it down I rode all day just had to bump start and not fall over 😂

Id check the plug behind the number plate again. Not the connection between, but the actual wires / connectors themselves.

We found the problem it was after the start switch plugs into the white plug then there’s a red and blue wire and orangish brown wire that head down into the wiring harness right where all the wires start to meet up and are taped up the red and blue wire was broke. My bike had a tie strap from
The factory really tight in that area

Is there something there that causes a pinch? That is kind of odd to have the wire split under tape or sheathing.

There was a zip ty right there from the factory, and the red/blue wire almost seemed to short and pulled really tight compared to the other wire. I soldered it back together and heat shrink.
