Big weekend as 4 wheel racing kicks off again. There are some big names in the DPi group trying to win the Rolex watch.

GTLM is going to become GTD Pro in 2022. The cars will be GTD rules but with factory drivers and the other div will be GTD Am.

Finished 9th in class 37th OA out of 83 back in Oct.
Had 2 1/2hr down time in 16.5hrs. 896miles over the two days. Every race weekend has it'sidentity. Ours was just finish on track and we did.
... forgot ... Nighttrain the track was Road America.

Totally agree James!
Youngest is 16 oldest is 74 ... F1 thru amateur drivers.

The whole race for me starts about 3 months before. Then race weekend I'm a complete nervous wreck!

A track day at Sandia in Albuquerque or there's a track in Deming, NM.
Highly recommended it !

Car don't look like much, I did a 1.8 LS/VTEC swap instead of the 1.8 LS motor. Didn't have the tune right and she was running fat. Should be a 120mph car and we were at about 112 going into 1 and 105 dropping into 5. Goal has always been to run the 14hr race at Daytona... someday before I leave this rock...

This yellow should've been a local in my opinion.

The cars as I've seen over the last 20 years have gotten so good it's almost a 24hr sprint race. Which is completely insane.

Yeah man I was there and was pretty close to that turn, it was an absolutely crazy race, I’ll have a buddy driving in GTLM next year so hopefully I’ll get to a few more races.

It’s too bad Hillbilly is no longer around here. He always had good commentary during this race especially during the late night hours.

DPI class after 8 hours the top 5 are still less than a minute apart. Kobayashi is just an animal in these cars !!

Suprised the 48 just doesn't have the straight line speed. They've got at least two more it stops so I think that's all the speed they've got.

Here are three pics of the first weekend we raced the little Honda ... self explanatory. ..
