mcread you have never answered the question I posed to you in another thread: You always seem to have a big dose of negative and hateful things to say about the U.S. riders and Nationals. Why is that?

I think the fact that the GP "WORLD" Championship is even comparable to ANY "national" series proves the GP's aren't what many (mccread especially) GP fans want them to be.

If they were so grand, so prestious, and a TRUE "world" championship, THAT series would attrack the very best riders in the world, offer the most money and the most hype and there wouldn't be a national title in the world would be comparable to them.

But that isn't the case, there is a national title that happens to have more money, more hype, and as a result attracts the very best riders from everywhere in the world...therefore the GP's aren't a true world title and calling a title a "world championship" that isn't the most prestigious that doesn't offer the most money, that doesn't have the most hype, that doesn't attract the VERY fastests rides in the world is like a small town burger joint claiming to sell the "worlds greatest burger"...it looks good on paper, but there is no way in the world it can be true.

And this is no disrespect to the riders in the GP's...they haul the mail, but the GP's would be better of to call themselves a "european championship" rather than a "world" championship...and just accept the fact that the AMA National series is the premier series in the world.

This is just one of those topics that will forever be around aslong as motocross is around. The riders are amazing in both series. If you raced both series head to head my money would be on the GP guy's having more riders in the top 10 but thats just me.

Can't wait for the des nations.
