Any of you guys have experience with jimmy rigging 79 yz125’s? I’m doing a winter rebuild and my petcock is leaking where it mounts up to the tank. It’s a plastic tank and instead of being flat where it mounts up, it’s caved in a bit. The old petcock has what looks like a piece of inner tube that someone used as a thicker gasket to help but it still seeps out. Any fixes for this or do I pretty much need a new tank? Is there any silicone type stuff that will be strong enough to resist gas? Also while I have it apart anyone have any tips or tricks to making it a better bike? Mods, jetting, all of that stuff. 200ft elevation in the PNW. Mostly Moto tracks. Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pics, but the middle hole is the one that’s caved in a bit

Usually just replacing the o ring on the petcock will cure this. Give it a try -- they're cheap!

It’s a brand new petcock and o ring. I thought that would fix it too lol
