Does anyone remember one particular Wednesday night at ASCOT during the summer of 82 when a REALLY HOT BLOND CHICK WITH A KILLER BODY, and wearing bright orange bib overalls, was getting everyone's attention and ended up having her way with a local racer in Greg Vitali's stationwagon? (Parked not far behind the concession stand in the pits?)
I know Radical Ron Turner and John Desoto remember. Ron was jumping on the stationwagon at the time. Along with about 50 other people. John was there too. I believe it happened between races. The announcer said "There seems to be some kind of commotion in the pits". No one was watching the races, everyone was watching Vitali's stationwagon. I think she actually came with some friends and neighbors of Westergaard's. (250 pro) Not sure. IF YOU WERE THERE, THEN YOU REMEMBER.

OKOK, it was me. She attacked me, I was helpless. She forced herself on me what could I do? Wish I could remember her name, but she lived off Crenshaw just up the hill from PCH near Alta Loma Park?

If anyone remembers this or has info regarding this shameless spectacle, please let me know. ChrisMackay

Nielsen told me her name was "MELANIE". She came with him and his group that night. She lived up off of Crenshaw near Alta Loma, or was it Loma Vista park?
(Up the hill from PCH) Fun girl. I wonder what happened to her?

Ascot was a great place indeed. I probably watched a lot of you guys race when I was a kid. Such a shame it closed down. And yes, Fosters Freeze off Carson street had the best ice cream.

Just read all 5 pages. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Chris. This is Steve Rawlinson , we sure did burn a lot of laps together moving up through the classes. A few of the guys I pitted with were Rick Johnson ( Too Tech , which was Too Hip when he started it ) Jerry Milkey , Sean Maan , Devon Farley , and Rob Trone . Rob started riding and racing later than all of our group , yet he ended up doing better In the pro class than any of us. He sadly passed away from his epilepsy back in ‘86. I occasionally ride with Rick who is still pretty fast out there. Let’s not forget about Tim Shelton when we talk about the fast kids out there. He went strait from winning intermediate races to winning in the pro class.

I grew up on 183rd st off Prarie Ave in Torrance and we lived for ascot Wed. Mx and Friday flat track nite. I went to school with Dale Lewis and Mike Garrett . Dave Pessy lived in the apts. across from Mike’s parents on Prarie. I ended up working at Precision Cycle in 75 going with Bill Rubly, Luke Messer to races. I built a pipe for Dave Pessy Ossa phantom and he ended up on the cover of Cycle News the next week. Good times and memories for sure. Lynn Watkins

I ended up working for Don at FMF in late 75 and stayed into 77. I was the only desert racer in the company and Cliff Lett and I made a pact that I would ride CMC if he would race a Dist. 37 desert race. I was an expert in the desert at the time but I rode intermediate class on my FMF YZ 125 I needed to work on my turn speed as desert racing is pretty much wide open!! The boys were fast at Saddleback. Cliff DNF’ed the Hare n Hound he entered on his Honda but was around 15 overall after one loop and beating a lot of good riders. We had a lot of good times and memories at FMF. Steve Wise like to hangout with us from Texas, Warren Reid , Danny LaPorte, Ron Turner, Mike Garrett and even a little guy name Jeff Ward Mini Champ would visit and few DG rivals. I got weld a pipe on Marty’s factory 125 Honda was a special memory for me in the shop. Doug Nicoll was the greatest prankster of them all . Jim Mac D was our shop boss man . A lot of good memories with him and the boys. We built literally thousands of pipes at the old 259th street shop. I wouldn’t trade anything those memories.😎
