Her daddy passed from cancer when she was only a few months old, it was my pleasure to get this for her and teach her to ride.

Things like this are what keeps me believing that there are in fact good, kind, decent people out there. I’m not sure if the girl is your daughter or just someone you’ve shown a simple act of kindness to but, either way you deserve praise.

She is not my child, I have been through a ton of crap in my life. I saw a child in desperate need of some kinda direction. Her mother started dating about a year after her husband had passed, only this new man became physically abusive toward them. I helped them escape the abuse and try to allow them to smile sometimes.

They’ve both been through a lot and that’s sad. Losing a father/husband to cancer is heartbreaking enough without the other bs. They’re lucky to have someone like you in their lives. As mentioned before in the above post, the world needs more people like you.

That is awesome, I had a rough day at work today ... I am so happy i read this as something had to finally make me smile!

Nothing like the smile and laughter of a child that brings a smile and happy tear to ones eye! Very sad to hear about the abuse they had to endure but it warms the heart to know there are still people willing to step up and provide a positive reassurance in others lives while they face adversity!
