That game was a massacre. Kobe was killing it as well as the rest of the Laker squad. This series might be over quick...

Sorry Dean, but I think by the time Kobe is finished with his career, he will be the GOAT.

Sorry Dean when Jordan was Kobe's age he wasn't doing what Kobe was...Plus I'm pretty loyal to LA/West coast teams, shit I think me and BoobyM are the only two Raider fans in CA.

I am a Raider fan. Davis needs to be put in a home. So for now I will suffer.
GOAT of the NBA, Kobe? Maybe the best 1 on 1, MAYBE. Russel, Magic or Bird, they made teams better. I also hate the Celtics. And the lakers have to win 3 more before they get the trophy. I hope they do, it's about time again. Go Lakers.

Easy there fellas ... don't go and jinx us. That was only one game.

Game #1 only showed what happens when the Lakers all SHOW UP to play against a "finals" newbie. Game #2 should tell a lot more as Gundy will have had time to make adjustments and the Magic may get over any stage fright.

Something that was lost in all the talk about the matchups was the fact that Kobe does not have a primary scorer to have to guard and wear himself down on ... so he becomes that much more of a problem for the Magic to deal with. That was a masterful performance from him.

If Bynum can stop making stupid fouls and stay in the game and off the bench, it's looking pretty good ... but the Magic are bound to shoot better, especially their 3s.

"What Is PER?

Player Efficiency Rating is a formula that uses a player’s stats to determine how productive and efficient he is in his time on the court. If he shoots the ball frequently, but does not convert on as many of his shots, his rating goes down. If he turns the ball over frequently, his rating goes down. If he is efficient and contributes an all-around performance, his rating goes up. Due to factors such as lower shooting percentages, it is almost impossible for a guard to have a very high career PER (such as above 25)."

Did Jordan ever score 81 points in a game? I think not, end of story. By the way Jordans highest was 69.

Seeing as how basketball is a team sport ... it's a little silly to be trying to compare individual players. Kobe and Jordan performed under completely different conditions. Simply no accurate way to compare anything. Apples and oranges.

Wilt the stilt was the greatest. He scored 100 points in a game and shot his free throws underhanded. Nobody would dare call him a girl for it either.
