1998YZ 250 fouling plugs

I got a new to me yz 250 and it keeps fouling plugs and bogs out in First and second gear the rest of the gears are fine and 15 minutes later it fouls a plug anyone know anything

If you are fouling plugs you are either way to rich, gasket leak, or you need to clean your carb and replace the jets. Make sure the float height is correct.

You're too rich.
Which spark are you using?
If you don't know how to jet and you don't want to spend your money, some sparks are better than others, the bike is a little slower but at least it won't bog.

You're too rich.

If you don't know how to jet and you don't want to spend your money, some sparks are better than others, the bike is a little slower but at least it won't bog.
I’m using a ngk Br8es sparkplug

What needle clip position are you using

Replace the clutch side crank seal. Might as well replace both, while you’re at it.

Raise the needle clip on position
Make sure your running a clean / properly oiled air filter
